I open my eyes Very....very slowly. I noticed a throbbing pain in my skull. Funny...there was also a burning sensation in my elbow. My throat felt like it was scratched by a million stray cats...starving...with rabies."Khia? O-open your eyes." A quick, worried voice said. "I.....can't! " I croak almost soundlessly. "Khia! ", a voice, male, said relieved. God. Who the hell would be so worried about me. I don't have a boyfriend. Do I? Or, like, a crazy long lost brother that has just discovered me. Were am I though? " w-where....am....I? " I gasp out breathlessly. "You...don't remember? " he says surprised, but sadly. "And who....the hell....are....you? " I whisper glaring, even though my eyes are shut. "Khia! You don't remember anything? " . "God, just tell me the fuck who it is! " I try to yell. " its me....Kay! God.dammit, Khia it's me and you almost died!" He shouted angry. Why would he be angry at ME ? " w....why are you mad.....at...me though? " I ask. "I....I'm not.mad at you. " Kay answers letting his breath out. " then, what the heck are you mad about? " I ask frowning. " I..." he blows his air out. " I'm angry at...ME ." He answers. "Why? " I ask doubt fully. "I should have been ahead of you." He answered. "God. I should've been the one to fall! " he says with self realization. I open my eyes ans roll them, annoyed. " I'm fine Kay, just drop it. " I say.he snaps his head up at me. " Khia! You don't understand! " he yells pacing the room." Yes I do! I rolled down a flight of stairs!big deal! " I yell back." You almost died! " Kay roars helplessly. He dashes over to me grabbing my shoulders gently."you.almost.died." he says slowly, in a whisper. Then he leans in. And we kiss.
it was a sweet, gentle kiss. Meant for an angel. Funny....isn't that the nickname Kay gave me the first day we met....two days ago. "Kay." I ask pulling away for breath. " I thought we couldn't." I say breathless. He closes his eyes, chest heaving. "I...don't know Khia...it's like I can't stay away from you. I'm literally DRAWN to you! " He says looking at the ceiling and whispering. " but...it's not like I'm mad or anything. Or-or ungrateful...."he trails off glancing at me intensely."if.anything....I'm ecstatic Zelos has chosen us as soulmates." He answers referring to our god, Zelos our savior. "Oh Kay." I answer scooting closer and touching his hand with a featherlike finger. "You have been NOTHING but nice, and sweet, and caring since I've laid eyes on you! " i say smiling. "And I need to know....can..we, like, try to make it work out? " I ask heat rising to my cheeks, but the cool tears slipping down my cheeks make a difference. "I.a..." Kay trails off quietly. " I don't know, Angel." He whispers glancing at me sadly. "Buh. ..but, Kay. Please, I'm begging you. I beg you! C-can we just....try? " the last word is a key that opened the door to a new wash of painful sobs. Finally, after about two minutes, Kay leans closer and locks eyes with me. Grinning like the old Kay, he says...
" we, can and will try. My little angelic Angel." And we kiss for another two minutes.
Oh God! Could he be any better? Well, he Damn sure could've been faster! But I'm just glad he's back to normal.
