Winged

I walked into first period and written on the board was...

Stand at the back of the room, new seating chart!

"What! ",Rih asked furiously. I shook my head and sighed sadly, "I dunno Rih.". Just then, Mr.kraw walked in, " good morning class, sorry for the uh...inconvenience.... for our next unit, you have to have a partner of the opposite gender. " , he smiled. The boys whistled appreciably ....and the girls either gawked or gagged, and Rih....was a gawker. Ugh. "Right...so that seating chart...." ,Mr.kraw started. I rolled my eyes when Ralf Simmons stalked over to me and whispered, "see Ya partner" . Mr.kraw saw me not smiling and said, "what's wrong Khia? " , I answered with a sheepish, "I kinda wanna partner with Rih..", "of course, uh...khia, your file didn't say you weren't. ..um... straight," Mr kraw coughed, smiling.
"I'm sure I can arrange a dif-", "okay,okay! !" I answered quickly,my face heating. "Great, now...that seating chart! ", he walked to the front and said,"Kay, and Khia, " I walked over stiffly and watched kraw seat the next table, " lets do this for Khia...Rih and Finn." Well great! I get a guy who doesn't talk to ANYONE , and Rih gets her future husband! I steal a look at Kay.,and find him staring at me.Smiling,one brow rissen.
"Uh,hi" , I say politely. "Hey." Kay answered flashing a smile that fluttered my stomach. To get my mind off him, I thought about what kind of 'winged' he was, which was obviously Melnic given his symbol, for Melnic, it's an m and a w overlapping, my symbol, for Delphic, is a d and a backwards d overlapping, and the last 'winged' , is Batnic, which seriously look like bats. They all wear glasses because,like a bat, have poor eyesight, which is one way you can tell if they're Batnic,but they also have a symbol, a circle containing a b with bat wings.

Everyone's wings are different, unless you have a twin or your Batnic. Batnic wings are either mangy, or wait for it.....bat wings. Kay's wings are jet black with blood red slashes. Mine are jet black with gold and purple tips. Rih, is kinda like my twin, in an opposite kinda way. Her's are white with silver and blue tips.

I feel Kay's knee knock against mine, I glance at the front of the room to find every one looking at me."ah, why Khia, you've finally joined us! " , Mr kraw laughed... and so does everyone else, even Kay. I feel heat rush into my cheeks.

The bell finally rings and I race to and out the door, I shove my stuff into my locker, about to call my aunt and tell her I don't feel good, when I'm yanked down an abandoned hallway into the darkness of a locker filled corridor. I'm gently pressed to the lockers when my kidnapper steps into the light.
Kay
He grins at my furious look. " you scared the hell outta me Kay! " I say trying (and failing) to shove him off of me. " God, Kay! Just let me go! " , I try again. " I have to go! ", he answers with a fake pout , saying, " but why? ". "You.know.why" , I spit through my teeth angrily." Your right." He says. I sigh relieved. " good....so I can go." I say trying to walk away, but Kay stands firm. " I know why." He says. " your afraid of me, of thinking about me, of even... BEING with me! ". I stare wide eyed. " I have to go! " I repeat. " no, that's an excuse.". Then he carefully cups my face and leans into me, and I do the unspeakable....
I kiss him back.

I quickly break away. Kay is so stunned, I have time to shove my way from the lockers, and to walk away, chin held high. Calling over my shoulder, " bye, Kay. " . Right as I'm rounding the corner, I hear a faint whisper from Kay, " bye, Angel" .
"K-Khia. What're you doin' here ?", Rih is saying quickly shoving her pants back on and clipping her bra. Finn is standing in his boxers grinning like Santa on peppermint." I have to tell you something!" I say quickly. She barely has time before I yank her out the door. Finn pokes his head out, " uh, what about your panties Rih? ", he asks way too eager. " keep' em." She says laughing. Finn's face light a up. I roll my eyes, " lets go! " I say. We're in the bathroom. " yeah, Khia? ". " i-uh uh... I kinda kissed. ...Kay" , I say spluttering. Rih stares at me, wide eyed and smiling. " awww, my lil bff is growing up way too fast! " , she says, I actually see a tear in her eye. " well...w-what should i do? ", I ask quickly. "Go get' em!" She says squealing. I laugh, ",tomorrow." I say. " tomorrow" she repeats. And we sister swear.
