No Matter What

Chapter 8

You wake up to the light coming from the windows, it's probably about 8:00AM

You shuffle and you look down to see Ellie asleep, hugging your waist while her head is on your stomach, you smile and chuckle slightly, waking her up in the process, she looks up at you and goes up to you kissing your cheek while you laugh at her cuteness, she looks at you and hugs you.

"Someones clingy today". You say as you see her bury her head into the crook of your neck.

"I just can't get enough of you, you're like a drug". She says while smiling at you.

"How're you feeling today". she asks you in a worried today.

Your face falls slightly.

"I Feel more comfortable now that you're with me". She smiles at you.

"We should get up if we leave now we can make it in about... two hours".

Ellie nods as she gets off of you and goes to wake the others. As soon as she leaves you try to control your tears, you weren't okay, you were severely traumatized by the events that took place yesterday, but you wanted to stay strong for her, Kyle and everyone else. You get up and follow after them, leaving the little house you were in you hop on H/N and lead the way.

You're  in front, Dina and Kyle right behind you, Jesse and Ellie keeping watch in the back, your hands start to shake but you control the shaking and breathe in and out.

After almost two hours and a half you finally find a town that is exactly like the one in the map, it took a little longer since you all decided to take a lunch break. You all hop off as you take Ky in your arms and kiss him.

You then ask around for your sisters husband. A lady with blonde hair points to a really cozy looking house, you thank her and go towards it.

You start to already feel sad, but Ellie holds your hands and looks at you with a smile, trying to reassure you that it'll be okay, you smile back at her.

Knocking on the door slightly, you hear a creak, and as the door opens, you see Ryan open it, he looks at you and Kyle and smiles brightly.

"Oh my god you made it, thank god"

He hugs the both of you but then looks at you, confused.

"Where's bee?'

You look at him with tears dripping down your face.

"She um... she didn't make it, we were on our way but she.. she got bit and told me to kill her, I couldn't but when the infection spread she tried to kill Kyle and I, I.. I had to shoot, I'm sorry Ryan".

Ryan looks at you in a shocked way, he then hugs you and Kyle again, while both of you are sobbing.

"It's okay N/N you did what you had to, to keep Kyle safe, she would be so proud".

You look behind you and signal Ellie, Dina and Jesse to come over.

"These people saved me and Kyle, I was shot and they took us in".

"Thank you so much, really, I don't know how to repay you". Ryan says gratefully.

"It's no problem, we were glad we helped them". Ellie says in a genuine tone.

" oh- come in I've got some food if your hungry".

"thanks but we have to go before it gets late". Jesse says with a smile.

"Ryan... I can't stay here, I have to go, but I know Bee would want Ky to stay here, please take care of him okay?"

Ryan nods and smiles at you.
