Being late to class must be the worst thing ever for a certain type of people. The ones like Elena.

She was standing in front of the closed door desperately looking at it, wishing she didn't have to knock on it. She already could imagine all the stares on her. She hated that.

The corridors were empty, which was already more reassuring. No one could see her panicking. Elena suddenly heard a loud sound, a breathing. As if the person was out of breathe. She turned her face to see a girl running to her direction.

It was Lola Adler.

She could recognize her because of her clothes. Lola has her own style, she mostly dresses with oversized clothes, baggy jeans and she generally just looks masc and tall.

Elena always found her pretty.

They've never really talked together before. It's not like they had anything in common or an opportunity to talk to each other. Elena generally finds her intimidating too.

They share for the first time some classes this year, the french one and the swimming pool one. Elena takes swimming pool classes outside of school too, she would like to call it just a passion, but her mom has been wanting her to become a full professional for years now. But that's another story.

- Fuck. My mom's literally gonna kill me. Said Lola while trying to catch her breathe, she stopped running and was standing in front of Elena now.

- Are you okay? Elena asked genuinely concerned.

- Yes! I mean shit no! If i keep on getting late to classes, i'm gonna get detention again and my mom is just so crazy about it.

- Oh.. I get that.

And she really did. Her mom's kinda crazy about stuffs too. For exemple, she's really obsessed with Elena's health, she's always checking on what she's eating or her weight. She wants her to be at the best for pool competitions.

Lola quickly smiled at her then frowned.

- Wait... Why aren't you in class already? I saw you when i started running and i was like... really far away. She chuckled while replacing her brown hair.

Elena didn't have the motivation to lie, she knew she was going to sound stupid but she didn't care much at the moment.

- I know this is dumb but... When the teacher is gonna open the door, people's attention are going to be on me and it makes me feel kind of bad.

- Oh. Lola seemed surprised but gently told her that it was okay.

After some seconds of hesitation, Lola did the first step and knocked on the door and they entered and realized the teacher wasn't even here yet.

After finding sits in the classroom, Elena started drawing on her book waiting for her french teacher to come. It became an habit to draw when she's either nervous or bored. Time didn't feel to fly but then he finally arrived. He was wearing the same costume as usual, it always has looked good and classy on him though.

- Alright y'all sorry for being late, car problems, but let's start this beautiful class on this Tuesday. He interrupts himself for a second to spare the suspense.
- ... With a test!

All the students complain.

- What a surprise Mr La Roche. We always get tests on Tuesday. Said the guy who was sitting next to Lola.

- Vous avez raison Bryan! C'est pour cela qu'il y'aura un changement cette fois ci pour ce devoir.

Bryan suddenly looked confused and turned his head to Lola.
