Mikey's voice dropped into a more serious tone, one that was deeper and carried an unusual coldness that made Emma pause. She could sense that something was off.

“Now that I think about it, I haven’t seen Take-chan at the shop at all these past few days"
Shinichiro remarked, his brow furrowing as he pieced together the strange feeling that had been gnawing at him.

“We were supposed to hang out at the park two days ago, but he never showed, even though we’d planned it in advance.”

Mikey stiffened slightly at his older brother’s words, the weird feeling he’d been trying to shake off since yesterday resurfacing with a vengeance.

“He hasn’t been answering my calls either"
Izana chimed in, his voice tinged with disappointment, like a loyal dog left behind by its owner.

There was a slight edge to his tone, a frustration he couldn’t quite hide.

“Eh? You too, Iza-nii?”
Emma’s voice rose in alarm, her earlier calm now replaced by a creeping sense of fear.

She didn’t want to jump to conclusions, but the mounting evidence made it hard to ignore that something could be very wrong.

“Do you think he’s just busy with school? Or maybe it’s something to do with the gang?”
Shinichiro asked, trying to rationalize the situation, but the uncertainty in his voice betrayed his own growing unease.

Mikey had finished eating by now, and he looked up at Shinichiro, then shifted his gaze to Izana and Emma. His expression was serious, the carefree attitude he usually wore nowhere to be found.

“I’m not sure if he’s busy or what, but… I haven’t seen him either in the last few days"
Mikey admitted, his voice low. The admission made Izana’s brows knit together in concern.

“So… it’s not gang-related then?”
Izana speculated, finishing his own meal and setting down his chopsticks.

His usually sharp eyes softened with worry, a rare sight that unsettled the others even more.

“No, I don’t think so"
Mikey replied with a slight frown.

“I’m sure because yesterday, he didn’t show up to our meeting. He didn’t even text or call to say he’d be late or that he was busy…”
Mikey trailed off, his weird feeling intensifying into something more akin to dread.
