I jolted up gasping for air. My hands clenched onto my chest. I felt the cold tears running down my cheeks. I was still processing what just happened but then it hit me.
Why can't I remember yesterday's events?
What's is even my name...

"My dear.. are you ok?" A male with blonde hair rushes to my side. He gently grabbed my head and placed it onto his chest. He began to comb my hair with his hands. "It's ok.. I'm here..."
His voice felt.. Kind. I can trust him. Can't I?

"Whats my... name?" I asked while the blonde male laughed. "Your can't even remember your name? You just really hit your head hard on the floor yesterday then.."
He then stopped brushing my hair with his fingers and sighed.

"Your Y/n... and I'm Aether...
Your my partner! we have been together for almost eleven years... We have been leading the abyss since day one" he glimmered out before I took sometime to think. Should I really trust him...

I couldn't speak at all. I felt my body began to tremble in fear. "Aw... Y/N are you being paranoid again... There'snothing to be scared off." His voice was too soothing to resist. I think I can trust him...

"C'mon Y/N... you get changed out of your pajamas..." He slowly got up and headed towards the door "I'll wait for you outside. I highly doubt you would even remember where the dining room is.." he laugh before closing the door.

I got up from the cosy bed and began to look around. Maybe there could be something that can help me regain my memories.
I began to open the drawers but all of them were filled with either jewelry, ties, watches and empty file's. I then walked over to the cabinet and opened it wide open. There were only everyday outfits such as jackets to buttoned up shirts. I picked out a random item and saw a tag on the hanger.

'The jacket Aether got me for our first anniversary' maybe he was telling the truth. But then who was that kid in my dreams...
"Y/N you should hurry up, the food is going to go cold" Aether shouted. I quickly shouted 'Ill be there' and changed into a suit.

"My.. my Y/N. You look stunning" Aether smiled while he pulled me over to the table. There were two bowls of rice and fried salmon for breakfast. "Eat up... we have a long day today" Aether cheerfully ate his breakfast.
I began to eat along side hik but I only ate the warm rice, I didn't feel quite hungry.
"Y/N eat some of the salmon!" He grabbed a piece of salmon with his chop sticks and pointed it at my mouth.

"Say 'ahh'" he smiled out. I felt quite hesitant. I could feel my hands sweat a lot. Why did the room become this dense?
"Y/N! C'mon! Your making me feel sad... your not eating my cooking!" His face saddens which made me feel a bit guilty. I opened my mouth with the 'ahh' noise and are the piece of salmon. "See it wasn't that hard!"
His smile warmed up the whole room once more. "C'mon.. Eat more Y/N!"

Once Aether filled me up with his salmon. He told me to go to the car while he gets his stuff. This gave me time to think about what that kid in my dream said.
I couldn't hear a single thing, his voice was unrecognizable, how come his name and most of his sentences were blurred off.
'Remember your dream... to escape reality.' What does that mean. This reality I have so far is amazing. Why would I have to escape it?
It's seems perfect.

"I hope you weren't waiting too long" Aether smiled as he opened his door. We both buckled up and he started to drive.
"Where are we going" I asked, he paused and then smiled "work. Remember we are the leaders of the Abyss."

He kept his eyes on the road as he continued to drive. "What's the Abyss?" I asked while he just quietly laughed. "The Abyss is a group of... people who aren't accepted into society. We make sure we.. help them to live their life's." Aether's smile faded and the atmosphere tensed up once again.

"Where are we again?" I asked and Aether answered 'Natlan'and continued to concentrate. Maybe Aether was just stressed that's all!

Once we both arrived at an unknown location. I felt shivers going down my spine. "Y/N it's ok... you came here so many times with me." Aether grabbed my hand and pulled me into the room. I tried to escape his grip with my shaking hands but it seems like I angered him.
"Y/N there is nothing to be scared off.." Aether stopped and looked at me. I was on the verge of tears when he looked at me. His face was utterly scary.
"Trust me Y/N!" His eyes were wide open and so was his smile.

"I don't understand why you don't just trust me." He said.
"I said you have done this many times... you'll be fine!" He then held his hand out and gently grabbed my hands.
"Let's go in now. We are late."
He began to walk towards the door and I decided to follow him. I said I trust him but why does apart of me not want to?

The building had a eerie feel to it. The walls were Grey and dusty with cobwebs on the ceiling. "Aether and.... Y/N.. we had expected you arrival." A man with a mask and a fuzzy coat bowed. "Now. Now." Aether smiled "where is he."

"He's in the enteragation roomas you and.... Y/N... requested yesterday" The fuzzy man then walked away. "Y/N, C'mon, follow me!" We both walked through multiple hallways and up a bunch of stairs to a room.

What was inside of the room. Wasn't a sight to behold. Their lied a man with their hands and legs tied to a metal chair. Their head was facings the ceiling with a cloth over their face. Next to them was around five liters of water,a loaded pistol, and a large empty jug next to the water.

"Y/N.. sit here and watch." Yhe atmosphere is too eerie. Aether grabbed a pair of gloves from his pocket and slips them on.
"Yanxiao. Age 31. You work for... whats his name... Morax? Rex Lapis? One of the most dangerous mafia gangs from Teyvat" Aether then pulled out a machete out from his other pocket and pointed at the poor man's neck.
"You. Will. Tell. Me. Every. Last. Detail. About. Him."

I just stood their in disbelief. Why his he doing this!? He said we helped people not hurt them!?
Is this what I have been doing this whole time...
My heart was filled with guilt and I can't do anything with my current.

"I'll never tell you anything about-" Yanxiao was interrupted by Aether pour a jug of water into the cloth that covered his face. The man began to scream into the watery cloth and tried to pull the cloth off but his hands were binded to the metal chair. "Im sorry I didn't that, can you repeat that?" Aether sadistic started into the man's soul.

"I'll never-" more water was poured onto his faces. More screams escaped the room. Jugs after Jugs of water. This Thirty-one year old man died for someone.

"Are you playing dead?" Aether laughed before grabbing the gun and shot the man sixteen times.
The blood splattered everywhere and I was left in shambles.
"See what I did to this man Y/N?" He walked up to me with his bloody gloves. "This is our life! We kill people and the mafia gangs lead by the biggest group 'the archons' and save the mistreated! Isn't this wonderful."

Was this the reality the one I had to escape?
