Y/n POV

I had just gotten back from my trip in Florence, Italy for an investigation. I was so excited to go see L. We haven't seen each other for 2 weeks so I miss him a lot.

I just walked out of the airport and got a taxi. Soon enough I reached L's house. I got out of the cab and Watari had opened the door for me. He was so polite.
"I'll take care of your bags Y/N." He said with a smile on his face.
"Thank you, you're so kind." I beamed.

I walked to the Mansion's front door and rang the door bell. I waited for only a few seconds and one of L's maid's open the door.

"Hello, Y/n. Did you have a fun trip?" (Maids name) said with a bright smile while I walked in.
"Yes, I did. Thank you for asking! How are you (Maid's Name)-San?"
"Oh, I am splendid. Thank you. Also L is upstairs waiting for you. He wouldn't stop talking about how much he missed you so I'd hurry up there!" She smiled
I walked up the stairs with a smile on face. I opened L's door and L was sitting in his unusual but adorable way staring at the bright computer screen.

He looked over at me.
"Y/n, you're back. I missed you so much, you don't even know."
He said while tightly rapping his arms around me. I smiled and rapped my arms around him.
"L.. You're squishing me.. Can't.... Breathe..." I said with muffled speech because my face was on his chest.
"Oh, my apologies y/n, I just really missed you."
"It's okay, L" I said with a smile
"(Maids name)-San told me you wouldn't stop talking about me."
He blushed and looked away
"Oh, I wasn't aware she had told you that...."
I looked at him lovingly.
"Y/n, let's walk down to our favorite bakery together. I really enjoy doing that with you."
I smiled
"Okay, L. Let me get my coat."

I put my black coat on and L was waiting for me at the door.
It was raining pretty hard. As we walked outside L held his umbrella over both of us.
"How was Italy y/n?" L questioned
"It was very enjoyable. A lot of the men there were quite flirtatious, that part wasn't very pleasant."
I saw a flash of jealousy in his eyes
"But other than that, it was quite pleasant." I said
"Oh. I see. I'm just glad you're back here with me. Please don't leave for very long again." He said with sad eyes
"Don't worry L, that was only a one-time thing." You said as you smiled at him.
"I really enjoy your smile y/n. I would recommend doing that more often if I were you." He said looking at me.

I smiled and blushed looking down.
"Oh.. Okay."
"Wait L, why didn't you just ask Watari to drive us down here, considering it's raining?"

"Because I enjoy walking with you, y/n. It's one of my favorite things to do honestly." He said looking up with a thumb over his mouth.
"Oh.. I see, thank you L. That means a lot." I said blushing.

We finally got to the bakery and L typically ordered half the whole menu. I just got one strawberry shortcake. L and I talked for about half an hour until we were done eating. L paid for his meal and mine, not even letting me object.

As we walked out it was raining a lot heavier. It was also a lot colder. I shivered, L noticed.
"Y/n would you mind if I put my arm around you? It looks as if you're cold considering the weather conditions." He said looking down at me. I looked up at him.
"Oh, No I don't mind L. Go ahead."
I blushed while looking down and he pulled me closer and I felt his body heat and I was a lot warmer. My heart was beating very fast.

We got home and L put up his umbrella and I hung up my coat. We walked upstairs together as he was explaining to me a story about when he was in Germany, a few years ago.

"So anyway, I was lost in the downtown area and had no phone, so the only person who vaguely knew what building I was looking for was a 7 year old child. Although I was still grateful for his assistance.
I listened and laughed and we just talked to each other for a hours. Soon enough it was 1 am. I guess time does fly when you're having fun.

I was laughing about a joke L had told me until suddenly the power goes out because of the thunderstorm.
"Oh no. This is not good." L says in pitch black darkness.
"Luckily I have a few candles in here." L lights a few candles and hands me a flashlight.
"L, I'm tired." I say and wrap myself up in all his blankets.
"But I need a blanket too, y/n."
"Who says you're sleeping in this bed?" I say in a bundle of blankets
"Well, it is my bed." He says looking at me while blushing. He's looking at me with a lot of admiration in his eyes. I really just want to kiss him.

"Y/n I'm going to unravel you out of those blankets with this trick." He pulls the blanket and I spin around until L somehow manages to make the blanket around both of us. We are pushed really close together. I was blushing really hard.
"Well that trick seemed to gone wrong..." L says looking down at me.
"Yeah," I say with blush on my face and a nervous giggle.
"Y/n, would you mind I kissed you?" He says looking right at me with such love in his eyes. My heart was beating so fast and i felt my entire face heat up.
"U-u-um if-if you w-want t-to. I managed to stutter out. L hold my head and pets my hair.
"No need to be nervous around me, y/n. We've known each other for our whole lives." He said while smiling looking down at me with such a loving look. It made my stomach feel really warm.

He held my face while getting closer as we both closed our eyes. His warm lips gently pressed against mine. My stomach felt like it was exploding. He held it for a good 5 seconds, then pulled away.
"I have been wanting to do that for so long," he said with a look of hunger for more in his eyes. It was intimidating but I liked it.

"Y/n, I really love you. And not in a platonic way. I can never get you off of my mind." He said still holding my face. I put my hand where his was on my cheek.
"I have felt the exact same way for a long time. L. I have wanted nothing more than for this moment to happen." I said. He kissed me again but with a little more passion. Then he picked me up and put me on the
bed. I laid my head on his chest and fell asleep while he was stroking my hair.
