Chapter 8

Term 3: Last day

I have kind of adjusted to having Ben by my side every morning of every school day. Even though I fucking hate it, I'm pushing through. Tao has adjusted to the changes too. I told Aled about Ben and about the fight, and he took it well. I had only told 2 people so I thought it wouldn't end up being passed around. I just needed some support for this year thats all. Little did I know, next term was going to take a big turn. 

It was the last period, and I was in my drum lesson, I was just practicing on my own today, since The Summer fate is comming up soon. We are performing early next term. Anyway, I was practicing and it was about 10 minutes to the bell. I hear the door fly open and a boy runs in. 

"IS IT TRUE THAT YOU AND BEN USED TO MAKEOUT?!??" 

I fucking froze.

"What. Where the fuck did you hear that..?'

"A BOY WAS YELLING AT BEN IN CLASS AND HE SAID THAT YOU GUYS SHOULD HAVE NEVER GONE OUT!"

I nearly fainted as those words came out of the boy's mouth. I didn't know what to say. He looked puffed out and sat down next to me. I was already in tears. Tears dropping from my face. "Are you okay?" He asked with concern. "Ben is going to fucking kill me." I said in a murmur. "I am so sorry." He replied. "What's your name?" I asked him. "James Farley." He said. I have no fucking idea why, but I had nothing to lose, so I poured my heart out to him about him sexually assulting me when I was in year 10. If everyone was going to know, then they must know the full story and realise that Ben was in the wrong. I am so lucky that this is the last day. I would have been so dead the next day in form. I gave James my insta and as soon as the bell rang and I tried to get out of there as fast as I could before Ben had the chance to find me. He did. I am so fucking dead.

He ran up to me and grabbed my collar. Everyone was already staring at us. "Where do you want the first punch you prick." He said. He lifter my collar up so i was on my toes and I was already sweating. "Nowhere." I said in a whisper. I bring my leg up and knee him in the groin. Since I was a freakishly fast runner, I easily outran him and hid behind a bush till he slowly made his way to his bus. Luckily his was before mine. My bus came and I got on it. I successfully made it home. Tori needed to know. I should have never told Tao. I'm not going to talk to him this holidays unless he choses to randomly appear at my house and appoligise instead of texting me. I go upstairs and find that Tori isn't in her room. She always is. Her door is open and I find a note on the door. It read: *I'm at Michaels tonight. Sorry I didn't manage to tell you in time Charlie. And no, we arn't a couple. Shut up. I'll be back by 12 tomorrow <3.*

Well at least I could put off telling another person about Ben and them hugging me assuring if i'm ok when it happened years ago ffs. Very specific.

*time skip*

6:00pm

Tao still hasn't texted me. What if he blames it on me for telling him? IT AIN'T MY FAULT! HIS LOUD MOUTH GOT THE BEST OF HIM AND I ALMOST FUCKING GOT BEAT UP BY HIM. I'm overthinking it again. Fuck. I get a message thinking it's Tao, But its a longer vibration on my phone, so it can't be messages. It's instagram.

James Farley: Hey Charlie. I saw what happened after school with Ben, I just wanted to check in and see if you are ok. And nice job on the groin kick back there, you nailed it lmao

Charlie spring: Yeah, i'm alright, I'm a pretty fast runner so i quickly outran him and hid. He is kinda scary to fight. lol

James: Haha, I'm glad your ok :))

Charlie: Thanks for checking in :))
