When the two arrived home, and settled down their otters over the next couple of months. The couple constantly saw "Otter Thief" headlines on the news and newspaper, yet their identities were a secret.
Not all was smooth sailing though, as one day, Zoey Layne felt tired and was in pain. She powered through until she fell over and passed out. Jakobis made sure the otters were safe in their enclosure before taking her to the car and rushing her to the ER immediately.
The hospital was a fair drive away, as they need open space for their otters. Zoey Layne was just waking up when Jakobis took off. She was confused and lost to what had happened, she said she couldn't see anything.
Jakobis sped up, going over 100 in a residential zone outrunning many cops in the process, and (hopefully) running over children.
Once arrived at the hospital Zoey Layne was immediately taken to an ER room when the situation had been explained. Jakobis was by here side the whole way as they ran tests and hooked her up to the iv.
Once the tests finished, they just learned that Zoey Laynes blood pressure was way too low. She is fine and is just a little rascal.
