Mo Yuan had caught a glimpse of A Li and Bai Feng Jiu exiting the hall and wasn't very surprised to see Dong Hua leave a few minutes after. He was surprised however to see high god Bai Zhen, Feng Jiu's fourth uncle looking very unhappy when he appeared to notice this as well. Infact the fox King was already making his way to the exit with Zhe Yan behind him. He was further surprised to see third prince Lian Song and Si Ming leaving moments after. This was very interesting but considering what he and the queen had been discussing earlier he concluded that Lian Song was probably right that Feng Jiu was avoiding Dong Hua and apparently her family wanted Dong Hua to avoid her as well. If the counsel ever wanted Feng Jiu to attend a meeting and Dong Hua was the reason she wouldn't that would explain the upset. No one was going to say anything to DiJun about it and so they wouldn't be able to do anything. He sympathized with his friend Dong Hua, he understood how painful it was to finally discover love after living hundreds of thousands of years peacefully without it, only to taste the bitter loss of that love.
A little while later Mo Yuan finished his wine and debated whether or not it was time to wish seventeenth and his brother goodnight. Not a minute had passed since Bai Feng Jiu left that he didn't hear his little seventeenth's precious laughter. He missed it but now it was directed toward his brother, her husband. The pain he felt was something he could bare, he would be fine he told himself though he knew the pain would always be there, the loss of the girl he loved and the loss of the relationship with his brother he had waited over a hundred thousand years for. He loved them both and so he would endure his broken heart quietly. He should have already gone back into seclusion. He had been in and out since waking up and he had gotten less than half his cultivation back. He had promised them that he would be here though.
Suddenly an old God he knew as high god Yan Pai was bowing and giving him well wishes. He couldn't remember ever actually talking to this particular immortal before.
"Ah high god Mo Yuan I hope I am not disturbing you I only wanted to say thank you for all you have done for the people of this world. I'm afraid I never had the chance to go to Kunlun after you woke to show my gratitude." The old god said.
Mo Yuan simply excepted his thanks with a nod of his head, not really in the mood for small talk he was hoping that he would leave when Mo Yuan observed as the old man began to look around him. "I thought that I noticed her majesty the queen of QingQiu over here before. I hope everything is alright and that she hasn't departed already." He said then gave him a slight smile and waited as if he expected Mo Yuan to have an answer for her not being there.
"I believe she was escorting the young prince A Li outside to his nanny." Mo Yuan replied.
"Ah, yes of course. It's always good to see the clans all together and family is very important also." high god Yan Pai said seeming happy with this answer.
Suddenly another immortal, one that he knew, approached. He had met high god Zhi Pang when he came to Kunlun mountain to pay tribute on behalf of his family when Mo Yuan woke. He bowed and said. "Please do excuse the intrusion high god Mo Yuan it's just I thought that the young fox queen from QingQiu was here with you. I had hoped to be introduced while spending the two week celebration here. Did anything happen to make her leave?"
Mo Yuan wasn't sure if he was more amused, annoyed or perhaps just a little insulted. Though he had thought Feng Jiu was being a little rediculous in thinking that anyone would bother him about her leaving she had actually been acurate in her thinking. Though Si Ming and Lian Song had left already so they couldn't be asked it seemed that these two gods might have come to him regardless as they almost seemed to imply he had somehow done something to run her off.
At that momment Mo Yuan noticed three figures entering the hall. Bai Zhen seemed to be escorting Bai Feng Jiu who was holding her uncles arm and Zhe Yan walked ahead of them as if leading the way. They were making their way over to where the two gentlemen had been seated earlier.
