60: Odd Sense

"How'd a cat come here and attack that guy all of a sudden?" Katsuki asked. 

"No- That can't be." Emra muttered. 

"What? What's up with you?" 

"That's... That has to be... It's Izuku."

The blond jerked his head to look at Emra and she seemed pretty serious about what she just spoke. 

"No way... that's Deku?!?" 

Katsuki looked back at the giant cat and looked at the cat's eyes; they were Emerald Green. 

"It... It is Deku... But she's never done something like this before." 

"That doesn't mean it's impossible." 

"Huh?" 

"Back when I brought Izuku to America–for the first time–Izuku became a test subject to get injected with a quirk." 

"Right, I remember her telling me that." 

"Though the scientists told us that she'd get a quirk, they had no idea what kind of quirk it would be since it was just a random test. But the day Izuku's quirk finally activated and she ended up turning into a cat on her first day of high school, I went back to those scientists and they told me something I didn't believe back then."

"Which was?" 

"It's possible for anyone to get a quirk that has traits of animals, and it's also possible for someone who has this kind of quirk to completely transform into that animal. But when this happens, there's a problem with this too." 

"What is it?" 

"When someone–like Izuku right now–has turned into a giant beast like this, it means they've gone berserk and anything in their sight will be their target. At least this is what the scientists told me." Emra answered. 

"So that means Deku could attack us?" 

"Yes, but as long as we can stay calm and try to wake up her senses, then maybe she can turn back to normal."

As he lay there completely frazzled and unable to speak due to fear, Dean felt his heart beating out of his chest as the giant cat remained standing over him. 

"H-H-Hey... n-nice kitty... I-I'm not t-the m-m-meat you w-want... L-Let's just k-keep those t-teeth a-away... a-and just s-s-slowly g-get off me a-and-" 

The cat growled at him and began to show their sharp teeth once more, and then lifted its head only to roar right in front of Dean's face. 

"P-P-PLEASE DON'T KILL MEEEE!!!!" 

"DEKU!!!" 

The cat stopped roaring and lifted its head to see Katsuki staring at them. 

"What're you doing, Katsuki?" 

"Deku, it's me, your husband!" Katsuki stated. The cat squinted its eyes at him, but the blond remained calm. 

"You know who I am, and I know that this ain't like you. I know you're angry, but I'm just as angry at that guy like you are, but you can't do this." he yelled.

'What does he think he's doing? She's in berserk mode, which means she won't hear his pleas.' Emra thought. 

"Keep your eyes on me and think, Deku! Think about why we've been doing this all along!" Katsuki demanded, and he noticed the cat could hear him.
