I was looking at my reflection in the mirror wearing my PJs.

I'm feeling like a shit. I never wanted a marriage based on conditions and benefits.

This is not me. I would have never done that even in my far fetched dream.

I'm married to a person who is called beast in business world. They say not only in business but also in real life he is very cold person.

Though I don't believe things which I don't see with my own eyes. But now, seeing him neglecting me like showpiece kept in his bedroom, I somehow believed the rumours.

But still, not everyone is like what they show. People tend to wear mask to conceal their real emotions and feelings.

Just like my father. He is a cruel person.

For world, he is very devoted and loving father to his daughters and dotted husband to his wife.

But the truth is he is a cheating bastard who cheated on his wife and who mentally abuses his daughter.

He is a control freak and a money minded person. He never for once asked to Aditi that she wants to get married or not.

Unlike me , Aditi is a obedient daughter. She is my half sister. She is just a year younger than me.

He cheated on my mother for freaking ten years. He even abused my mother physically so many times.

Unable to bear his atrocities, my mother left me. She left me alone to face this cruel monster and ran away just leaving a letter.

I was just ten years old at that time. She told me that she will come back for me, but she never came.

Alas! Promises are meant to be broken.

Just after two months, he brought his mistress and his daughter who was a year younger than me to his house.

They never physically abused me but still they both treated me as trash.

By time, I understood that there is no one for me. I have to fight for myself.

At age of twelve, I applied for scholarship in India's best boarding school. I passed the entrance exam and after that I was always away from his house.

Aditi and my bond was neither sweet nor sour, we were neutral. I was not home, but I knew almost every news of him and his new family as I have acquaintances in his mansion.

My mother's maid which was especially hired for her and me, always kept informed me.

I told her to do so in hope that someday my mother will come back for me.

The truth was Aditi was already fed up by being the obedient girl and the marriage was last nail to the coffin.

The truth is that she is in London working in MNC. She doesn't have any lover. My father lied about it. In the letter she had written about his wrongdoings that's why he tore the letter so that no one can see what was written in it.
