"Look el. I mean Jane, please understand it was a mistake." Mike shouted as he chased after El in the freezing rain. He had no jacket or sweater material that covered his body, just his hellfire shirt that was now soaked. As the soaked boy ran up to her, he grabbed her shoulder harshly. The irritated girl stopped running, as warm tears streamed down her face. She also had no jacket or sweater just her dress.

Mike stood there watching as her body lightly shook from the cold weather. He took his hand off her shoulder. "Look el- "Stop." She muttered under her breath, the quick word caught Mikes attention. She turned around facing him. Mikes heart dropped, he felt so guilty and miserable seeing her like that, especially because of him. "Please Mike, just leave me alone for a bit." El uttered as she turned around and kept running.

The dark swallowed Mike whole. He stood there without moving, his heart ached and his head hurt. He wanted to follow his love, but he wouldn't. He couldn't. He felt warm tears fall down his face. The world had seemed to vanish around him. He was alone. All alone in the darkness. It was cold and hard to breath. Warm tears ran nonstop down his flushed face, as small sounds and noises came from his mouth. His body lightly shook as he crouched down. 

"How could have I been so stupid?" He muttered to himself. He wanted to just die right there. Maybe even just disappear for a minute. "So cold." He whispered as the tears fell to the floor. His eyes foggy and red.

Soon that cold feeling went away. It was warm. Mike sat there confused. The world started to appear again. The rain was gone yet it was still dark. He looked up. An umbrella? Was it el? The heartbroken boy stood up grabbing the umbrella from the strangers hand. He looked at them. It was Will. "Hey... are you okay?" He whispered hugging Mike, not bothered if his own clothes got wet. It was for the comfort of his best friend. 

Mike didn't answer. He just let out little sounds onto Will, and Will didn't mind. He didn't have to talk.
