Cedric:

I can see Rory fuming. There might as well be steam coming out of her ears. I genuinely think everyone in this hall should be scared for their lives. Her entire friend group is gaping at each other, while simultaneously trying to make sure she doesn't explode. She's a bit of a hothead as is, and when you add me to the equation? Screwed. I stand by Professor Dumbledore, smiling. Oh, this is not going to end well. Rory clenches her fists and slowly stands up, her best friends Charlotte Torrance and Anastasia Armani sharing a concerned look. She walks towards the front of the hall, passing me without a second glance. I shake my head, grinning at her retreating figure before following. If this tournament doesn't kill me, Rory sure will. I can feel the anger emanating from her body. This is great. I've missed her short temper. The look on her face when Dumbledore said our names will forever be ingrained in my mind.

"Not even going to say hello, love?" I ask.

She flips me off without even turning her head. I chuckle lowly and continue walking until we reach the trophy room. we join the other champions in the middle of the room, Rory standing across from me (as far away as possible, might I add). I stare at her, taking her in; I've only seen her from afar over the past few years. She's so damn beautiful. Her deep brown hair is long and wavy, her blue eyes sharp and enticing. She's taller than the other girls, about my shoulder height. As she shakes their hands, she meets my eyes, glowering. She doesn't scare me. she didn't when we were 10, she doesn't now. I know she would never do anything to hurt me, even if she claims to hate me. This tournament finally gives me the opportunity to get close to her again. I've missed her an incomprehensible amount. Camille Augustine turns to me, holding her hand out. "Camille Augustine."

I shake it. "Cedric Diggory."

She smiles and walks away to introduce herself to the Durmstrang champions. Fleur Delacour shakes my hand next, introducing herself. Then, she leans in slightly.

"That one," she motions to Rory, who is currently speaking to the Durmstrang students. "Is she your girlfriend?"

This catches me off guard. "Uh, no. not yet, anyway. Why?"

"I see the way you look at her."

I certainly wasn't expecting her to say that. "It's kind of hard to explain. There's a bit of history there."

Fleur nods in understanding, then walks away to talk to Camille. I look over at Rory, who is still talking to Krum and Ambrose. I walk over to them, standing behind Rory. She tenses when she feels me standing there, but manages to keep talking to them without making it obvious that she wants to turn around and commit a heinous crime.

(A/N: I know these past few chapters have been really short, but I swear the rest are longer!)
