Laughter and Tears

After meeting Alpha Sam, I walk back into the Cullen residence to add new floral arrangements to the vases around the home. I quietly hum as I dance slightly while in my own word. My thoughts keep going back to Edward and how he doesn't care for his mate, is he truly selfish or is he just blinded by obsession?

While dancing around the kitchen with my eyes closed, I gasp when I feel someone's hand on my waist. I open my eyes and see Carlisle step back and bow with his hand out for me. I giggle and curtesy before accepting his invitation to dance.

After dancing together like we used to, we hear claps behind us. I timidly turn around and if I were human I am sure I would've been bright red as all of the Cullen children are there clapping. "Did they know you could Carlisle?" I ask quietly seeing the shocked faces.

The sound of a low chuckle makes me turn back to face my uncle "no little one. I left my dancing back at the castle with you. Well I danced with Esme but not like we used to. Everyone used to love us dancing together." I can see his eyes that he is reminiscing the old days.

I turn to Jasper and walk forward looking him dead in the eye "Now Major I'm about to expose your secret. You're coming and dancing with me. Everyone will know that you truly are an amazing dancer." Before he can even respond, Alice is dragging us both outside to the patio. The look on his face is amazing, he looks like a deer in headlights but he forgets I had more information than most.

"Now Jasper don't think I don't know your full capability. I've known about you since before you decided to falsify your age to join the war." I say in a fake stern voice and by his small smirk I can tell he knows it. A once around the area shows all of the Cullen clan standing on the sidelines watching intently, probably because they know nothing of Jasper's dance skills.

All throughout the dancing, myself and Jasper are just laughing and smiling. He looks so carefree when he's dancing and I want to let him be like this more often. When we finish, the applause is overwhelming and the look on Jasper's face is enough for me to know they all are happy. "Thank you Jasper. I knew the Texas Major would be able to keep up." I say with a slight smirk and giggle before walking back over to Alice and Rosalie.

"Jasper! I didn't know you could move like that! Who knew that the introverted war god would be able to move like that?!" Emmett's booming voice and laughter fills the whole area and we all have a smile on our face.

"How was school girls? I want all of the gossip." I loop my arms through Alice's and Rosalie's arms dragging them up to my room. "Come on! I want the gossip!" I squeal and push them into the room.

The girls can't help but laugh at my excitement. "Well, Mike Newton still tries to get with Bella by flirting and just being a typical hormonal boy. Bella actually had the audacity to rant about you behind your back, she was ranting to us for half of the lunch break before we all snapped. By all I mean myself, Alice, Emmett and Jasper. I actually was surprised that Jasper was able to control himself." After Rosalie said that I look to Alice with a questioning look.

"Did he put the flower that I gave him on? That's all that I can think of. That can control even his alter." I say while fiddling with my fingers thinking. Alice squeezes my shoulder "Don't worry about Bella. We don't like her. We stand by you and you alone. Who else would give us pretty flowers?" She asks as a joke and it works, I let out a little giggle.
