Bugsy was riding in the cart and holding her breath the best she could. She felt the cart bump a door open and held her ears as the devices adjusted to the current sounds. It was a young boy pleading. She moved the cloth slightly aside and peered out. "Your tools, doctor." She heard the man pushing the cart say before he left the room, closing the door. Doctor? She looked up and saw the man in the surgical mask—the man who experiments on her. She only knew him as "the doctor" since he never gave a name. He was talking to the test subject about something, but her devices wouldn't focus over the screams of the subject. She could barely hear what he said, but she did hear him say, "calm down, you said you wanted to be younger. This is what you wanted, old man." She looked at the patient. He appeared to be thirteen or fourteen, why did he call him old man? Perplexed, she watched him grab one of the tools. "Now, let's see—" "Ahhhhh!" His words were overshadowed by the patient's screams. Her devices couldn't focus on them both at once. She watched as he took a needle and stuck it in his arm, blood drew from it and shot down a tube into a vile. "It's been.....weeks, and you're still fifty years younger...now..see....the serum....fully in....blood stream." His words were cutting in and out through the patient's screams. He turned toward the cart and she ducked back behind the cloth. She heard the vile be set on the tray on top of the cart. "See you later." She heard the doctor say with no remorse before feeling the cart be pushed the opposite direction and back out the door. She heard the patient's screams as they left and her devices fixated on it. Suddenly it focused on the wheels scraping against the tile and she didn't even know that a nurse had walked up to "the doctor" until she heard their voices. "Sir! Sir!" She heard Laila's voice yell. "What?" He replied.
"Patricia isn't in her room!"
"What do you mean?"
"We don't know where she is!"
"Well, there's no way she got out, I have the keys with me."
"She might find the other patient."
"Shit...find her. Then, bring her to me. I'll make sure she never does this again."

She saw the cloth start to move, he was checking to see if she was there. Oh no! She panicked and said "come find me!" And threw her voice around the hallway to the right. "I heard her!" Nurse Laila yelled. She saw the cloth drop and heard "the doctor" run away. Her devices were fixated on his footsteps as she crawled out on the other side and looked for his keys on the cart. She suddenly heard a voice from behind her say "I got you." She turned and her devices clicked on Laila's voice. She was holding out the keycard for Bugsy. Bugsy started to say thank you, but Laila cut her off. "No time. Just go!" So, Bugsy nodded and started towards the front hallway entrance. She turned and whispered. "I'll get you out." Laila nodded. "I know." She said with a proud smile. Bugsy focused back in front of her and sprinted into the door, ramming it open with her shoulder. She sprinted, her devices focused on her footsteps, not knowing what was happening behind her. She ran up to the front door and past the nurse at reception. "Hey!" She yelled, but Bugsy could only hear her own frantic breathing. Her shaking hands tried to hold the keycard still onto the pad. It felt like it took years for it to open, and when it did, she sprinted for her life. It was then that she heard gunshots, so she turned and saw they weren't yet out the door. She quickly hid in the back of one of the black SUVs out front since she knew she couldn't run far. She laid in the back and tried to calm her breathing so her devices could focus on other noises. She sat there for what seemed like hours as her devices would focus on footsteps sprinting across the pavement or cars every now and then. They were looking for her. Suddenly, the front car doors opened. Two men got in with large guns. Her devices clicked and she could hear them talking back and forth.
"He's gone rogue?"
"That's what boss said when he called just now."
"I always thought he was off."
"Really, I never knew."
"All that killing must've driven him crazy."
"I kill and I'm not crazy."
"Well, he's a kid-"
"You really don't know? He's not a kid, they just make him look like it."
"What?"
"That's why we always go here for shipments. He needs pills."
"So, that little shit's responsible for all this extra diving."
"Not anymore, the doctor says the new pills are permanent."
"Shit...that's probably why he's crazy."
"Why?"
"He can't even have a beer."
They both laughed before driving off, leaving the silent Bugsy confused on the floor in the backseat. She fell asleep in the car, but woke up when her ears clicked to the sound of gunshots.
