I lay down in my dirty uncomfortable bed, Staring at the ceiling. And thinking about what I should do next. How will I avoid everything, What is the real solution to this endless maze.
A couple of moments pass by
I woke up bitterly cold and numb, My cell bed doesn't treat my lifetime injuries fair, I could hear the wind entering from my tiny window, As the cold breeze sends chills down my spine. "Here we go again" I breathe to myself.
"When will this end"
I sat up wondering how I would finish and get out of this chaos that I have created. "Take me back! Rewind" I yelled out with a soft rasp in my voice, The next thing I know is I'm sitting right next to Ruby in my desk, As she was writing down her notes. "Ruby?" I said while looking down with depressing eyes, "Yes Chris?" She replied. I quickly break down and wipe my tears with my shirt.
"Is everything alright?" She asked me
"No! I can't do this anymore" I stated
She slowly wrapped her arm around my neck, The bell rang and I knew I had to do everything again, What will I do this time. "Ruby, Can you come to my house today?" I asked as my voice was breaking down. "Oh. Uhm.. Of course but is everything okay? I'm worried about you!" She replied with a frown.
"Everything is alright, Ruby" I sighed
I told ruby that we should get out after a while, She agreed and I had to explain everything to her
"Ruby, I know you won't believe this, But I'm stuck in an endless time loop" I spoke
"A time loop? What do you mean!" She chuckled
"Please trust me, You can't go home today!" I continued as I looked at her with teary eyes
I held her hand and I moved closer towards her . . . Until a janitor interrupted us
"Uhm. Sorry to interrupt but it is getting late" He spoke as Ruby backed away from me, We got up and rushed out of the classroom, "Ruby we can't leave" I stopped. "Please believe me" I held her hands again while I looked down at the floor, "Let's go to my house" I said desperately "Please!"I begged, She let out a small chuckle as she moved closer towards me, I could feel her breathing heavily, She came closer and she wrapped my hands around her tiny waist. "Don't panic, Chris, It's all in your head" She spoke as she came closer to me. I could feel her heartbeat racing, Faster every second she comes closer, Before I know it, Her soft lips were touching mine. I came to a conclusion that I should just let my luck decide my own destiny, I closed my eyes and I went for a soft gentle kiss.
"I am right here, with you" She spoke between our gentle kiss.
I started caressing her back gently while pulling her closer to me, She let out a small soft moan as she wraps her hands around my neck, This is magical, I could feel the goosebumps all over my body, I slowly pulled out and I looked at her emotionlessly with a soft smile, "Please believe me" I stated. "I believe you, Don't worry" She replied as she was comforting me. I heard a loud car beep outside, I knew it was my grandfather waiting for me, I held her soft hand and we walked to the car. I got in and sincerely apologized to my grandfather.
We arrived at my house, I was explaining my situation to ruby in my small depressing room as she was looking at me coldly. I know, The events I'm explaining to her make me sound mentally ill, "You don't believe me, Don't you?" I stopped speaking, "You are insane!" She replied as she stood up, Ready to leave. "Wait!" I quickly pulled her from her wrist throwing her to the bed. "I am serious, Ruby" I said with devastation. "You told me that I would get murdered, That I would die! Do you even hear yourself!" She shouted. I heard two gunshots coming from our living room, And it started pouring outside which made this tense situation worse. I rushed outside to see my grandparents dropped dead on the floor, As the rainfall became heavier. An armed guy was right in front of me, It was Jackob, He was the murderer, He did all of this. "Stop!" I yelled as I closed my room door leaving Ruby behind. My innocent sister got out of her room terrified, "Chris? What happened" She said as she ran to hide behind me. I stayed silent. I knew that saying anything would make this even messier. I slowly approached my grandparents as Jackob pointed the gun towards me. "Come any closer and you're dead, Limp" I dropped on the floor looking right at my dead grandmother's body. He shot my leg and rushed to the room, I heard Ruby shouting and yelling for help but I couldn't do anything, I just stared at the ceiling while my tears were racing down. I heard the final gunshot and I closed my eyes.
I failed . . .
Again.
