Vance Pov

Today is my first date with Bruce, i'm extremely nervous but also really excited. I haven't told my dad yet im scared of what he might think. He would probably hit me with a belt again, I hate him with my guts. But he has to find out at some point.. "hey Dad?" I mumbled, "what do you want Vance?"

he gave me a dirty look like I was interrupting something. "Im going on a date, I'll be back later." "with who?" he got up standing in front of me. now i was shaking. "a.. a boy.. Bruce Yamada.." he looked shocked but then softened up. "have fun." he sat back down and went back to watching TV. did that just happen?

I ran out of the house in a great mood, running to the Arcade. I couldn't run forever so I ended up walking. I heard foot steps behind me, but before I could react there was a pain in my head and I blacked out.

Bruce Pov

Hes late. I mean why am I surprised? hes late to everything, but its been an hour. I'll wait a bit longer and see if he shows up, I decided to go play on the pinball machine it reminds me of him, I've never played before either.

"you wanna get beat up?" a voice laughed. I turned and saw someone I didn't recognize. "No?" I was so confused. "well if pinball Vance shows up then you will." the person frowned. "my boyfriend wouldn't beat me up. now leave me alone." I mumbled. I didnt hear them again, I just continued playing.

Time skip

I called my mom to pick me up since its been a few hours and Vance didnt show up. "hey mom can you drive me to Vances house? I wanna ask his dad if hes there." I smiled at her, "yeah of course Brucey!" she smiled as I got in.

I got out, "wait here I'll be back." my mom nodded. I ran up the steps and knocked on the door. A tall man opened the door, "have you seen Vance? he didnt show up to our date." I smile at him. "uh no? he left a few hours ago for a date with uh.. Bruce? Bruce Yamana?" "oh okay thank you.. and its Yamada." I waved at Vances dad and walked back to the car.

I didnt know what to say, did Vance run away? did something bad happen to him? Im so worried about him.. "hey sweetie are you alright? wheres Vance?" she asked with a worried look. "I dont know.. hes not home."
