Two weeks ago I came back from America. I have finished my last bit of training for the Apache helicopters. So, I have made the executive decision that me and my brother, Will, are going out on the town to get absolutely lashed. Now, I have to convince Will and my sister-in-law Kate that he can come out with me tonight. I made my way into their apartment without knocking, just as I normally do. I saw them snuggled up on the sofa watching a film. I want to be like that with my girl. If only I had a girl.

“Um, hey guys.” I said apprehensively.

“Hey bro! How are you mate? I would get up, but you know, the wife decided to lay on me.” He smiled and Kate slapped his stomach.

“Ha, yeh I’m good thanks mate. I was just wondering if your beautiful wife would let you go out with me tonight?” I smiled sweetly at Kate.

“Um well, as long as he’s back at least half sober, then yes, of course you can!”

“Awesome, thanks sis!” I gave her a kiss on her cheek.

“Well, if you two are going into town, I might go and see Pippa tonight.”

“Ok then babe.” William turned to me, “Be back here at 8? We’ll grab a bite to eat when we’re out.”

“Alright bro, it’s a date.” I turned around and walked out of their apartment and straight into mine.

I picked up my phone and I had 22 missed calls. All from Chelsy. She dumped me for God’s sake! I listened to one of the voicemails. She said, “Hello Harry, I was just wondering if you got back safe and stuff. My friends are having a party tonight and I need a +1, I wondered if you would go with me? Well, let me know.” And she hung up. I really felt like phoning her back and telling her to f**k right off, but I refrained against it. Instead, I turned my phone off and sat down on my bed. I sat there just thinking of my mum, and how much life would be different with her here. I wouldn’t have got into half of the thing I did if she was here. She would have steered me clear of all of those things, the drink, drugs.

Then I began thinking of what my ideal girl would be like. But then I realised that I don’t want the same thing than the girls I have been dating. I want a girl that is real, down to earth, and doesn’t care about the Prince that I am. I want a girl who makes me laugh and I can have a laugh with. I want to find my soul mate, and the quicker the better. I don’t want Chelsy anymore. She never loved me, I’m convinced of it. Tonight I’m going to see if I can find that girl. The only girl in the club that doesn’t turn up and come straight towards me. The girl that won’t want to instantly bed me just due to who I am. The girl that wants to know me for who I am. I am going to find that girl. Tonight.

At 8 I went to Will’s apartment and we both went out. We had dinner and then went to Boujis, our favourite club. This way, we won’t be bothered by too many people, especially any of our ‘mates’. Will got the drinks in and we were just talking about the normal stuff, how work was and how my non-existent love life is going.

“So, you’re not going out with Chelsy then?” Wills asked for the millionth time.

“Nope. And that ship has sailed.”

“Ok then, tonight, I want you to find a girl in this club and take her home, but don’t sleep with her. Deal?”

“20 quid says I can do that.”

“You’re on!” We both smiled. What Wills didn’t know was that it was my plan to do that tonight anyway. Wills poked me in the ribs, “What about that blonde who has just walked in? The one with the non-existent black dress on?”

“Alright, wish me luck.”

“Go get her mate!”

So, I went over to her, completely hedging my bets on this girl. Hopefully she will be the one for me.
