I woke up the next morning, and instantly checked my phone to see if she had text me. Nothing. I was going to text her, but then something stopped me. Thoughts going through my head, ‘Will I sound too desperate?’, oh sod it. I need to talk to her again. I knew it was early, but I came to the conclusion that she would be awake. The text I sent to her read, ‘I had a really nice time last night. Good luck on your first day. Please ring me when you have time. Harry x’ I didn’t think that was sounding too desperate.

As soon as I sent the ‘send’ button on my phone, my father came into my room and slammed the door. “Do you mind? It is my room for a reason! Anyone could have walked in here pa!” He seemed to ignore me. Completely. That’s nice of him.

“Who came in here last night? William told me you brought a girl home.”

“Pa, you never care if I bring a girl home. What’s the difference with this girl?”

“As William told me, you didn’t sleep with her.”

“No, pa, I didn’t. And do you know why? Cause for the first time in my life I actually like this girl and I don’t want to fuck it up as I do with every other girl I have been out with. I don’t want to ruin this pa.”

“Well, son, if you’re sure you like her as much as you say you do, then don’t play it too ‘cool’. Treat her like she is supposed to be treated.”

“I will pa, I’ll speak to you later.”

I never understood why my father was like that with me. It was like he thought I would never settle down with the girl I wanted. I had enough time to be happy. I’m only in my late twenties! Father didn’t marry mum until he was 30-ish. I never understood my father at the best of times. Oh well, he’s not worth me worrying.

On the agenda today was 3 meetings and a bike ride with William in Hyde Park. I might skip the bike ride in Hyde Park and try to meet up with Sophia later. That’s if she’ll have me, but first, on with the meetings…

After coming out of the last meeting of the day I decided to take a walk out of the house, as I needed to get some fresh air. I walked out of Clarence House and took a right up towards Buckingham Palace. As I was walking up towards the gate of Hyde Park, I suddenly felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. I took it out and looked at the ID, much to my surprise, it was Sophia.

I answered quite inquisitively, “Hello?”

“Hi Harry, its Sophia. I’m really sorry I didn’t call, I haven’t looked at my phone all day!”

“No, don’t worry. Where are you? Are you on your way home?”

“Yeh him just walking down Regent’s Street, near my flat why?”

“I was just wondering if you would like to come round for a bit, or, would you rather if I came round to yours.” I thought I’d ask, as I couldn’t wait to see her again.

“Why don’t you come round to mine? Are you at Clarence House then?”

“No, I’m actually walking down the Mall towards Buckingham Palace.”

“Ok, I’ll meet you at the gate near the entrance to Hyde Park, ok? I’ll be there in five.”

“Yeh, ok. See you in five.”

I hope she doesn’t mind me walking with her with me dressed in a suit. I was leaning against the gates of Hyde Park, when I caught a glimpse of her. I just smiled at her, then she smiled back with her beautiful smile, “Hello, good looking.” She got in there with the compliments before me.

“Hello gorgeous, you look tired.” I pulled her in for a hug, and, no I didn’t care who saw me.

“I am, very. I never realised how tiring being a P.E teacher was! Let’s get moving, I need a cup of tea!” I took her bag off of her and she walked with me, over to her flat.

She couldn’t find her keys, I gave her the bag to see if she could find them. It was cold outside and I was slightly agitated to get into the warm, she took about 5 minutes to find them and then we made our way into her flat. She turned and asked me, “Harry, do you want a cup of tea?”

It was my first cup of tea of the day, I was quite excited, “Ooohhh, yes please!” Then I felt so guilty that she was doing that after a long day at work, so I went over to her. “Hey, Soph, sit down, I’ll do that. You need to sit for a bit.”

“Are you sure?” She asked me, I nodded and she carried on, “Ok then, you can make the tea, then.”

I made the tea, took it over to her and I sat down next to her on the sofa. “Thank you.”

I wanted to see how her first day had gone, “So, tell me how your first day was then.”

Her eyes lit up a little, “Well, it was very good thanks.”

I got closer to her as she was speaking, “Good,” I whispered back to her, I leaned my head closer to hers, breathing in her beautiful scent, looking into her beautiful eyes. I kissed her. It felt like the best kiss in the world. That moment, I knew was the best moment of my life so far.

This girl was the one for me, and I wasn’t going to let go of her anytime soon.
