Daphne's POV

LABOR ROOM

Edward carried Bella to the labor room that was prepped for the delivery of the baby. Edward, Rosalie, and I worked on Bella. "Rosalie, pass the morphine," Edward asked as she handed him the syringe. Bree was talking on the phone to Carlisle. "Carlisle said the placentas must have detached," Bree announced. "Edward, hurry," my voice broke. "He's coming as fast as he can, but...," Bree asked as I grabbed a scalpel. "We'll have to do it," I answered as I grabbed a scalpel. I took the scalpel to cut Bella's stomach open but Edward stopped me. "Daph! Let the morphine spread," Edward told me. "There's no time. He's dying," Rosalie shot back as Bella began to scream at him. "Get him out now!" Bella screamed as I cut her stomach. "Look at me, Bella," Jacob asked as she screamed in pain.

I cut Bella's stomach as the sight of blood distracted me. her scream mimicking her pain. "Bella, keep your eyes open," Bree asked. "Don't close your eyes." "Rosalie, don't!" Edwards shouted as she looked at the bloody scalpel in front of her. Jacob tackled her as Edward turned to Bella. "Alice, get her out of here!" Edward yelled at his sister to get her out. "Rosalie!" Bella screamed in pain. "Ow!" "Save her! You've got to change her!" Jacob yelled at us. "I can't, not whilst he's still in there," I replied. "I got to get him out first," Edward replied as he tried to get the baby out. "Stay, Bella. Stay focused. Keep your heart beating," Jacob asked her. "No! He's suffocating!" Bella screams. Bree talks to Bella as she screams at us to get her child out. I rip the embryonic sac with my teeth and pull the baby out. The cries of a baby fill the room.

"Okay. Hey. Hey, hey. It's Renesmee," I added as I handed Edward his daughter. "Hey, baby," I smile as he looks at her. "You're so beautiful. I love you so much." After she said that, I took the baby, wrapping her in a clean towel. "You're beautiful," Bella said as she looked at her daughter. Edward gives the baby to Bella but the baby bites her and Edward takes her back after which Bella appears to die. "Bella? Bella? Bella!" Jacob exclaimed as he tried to give Bella CPR. "Jacob, take the baby," Edward asked as he wrapped his daughter in a towel. "Keep that away from me!" Jacob swears at him as Rosalie walks back into the room. "Edward. I'll take her. I promise I'm okay. Let me," Rosalie asked him. Edward takes out a syringe and injects Bella with it.

I bite all over Bella's body when she doesn't respond to my initial bite. "What is that?" Jacob asked. "It's my venom," Edward replied. The venom doesn't work so Edward begins CPR on Bella. "You're okay. Come on. It's supposed to be working," "Oh, my God," Jacob gasped. "Come on. Bella, come on," I begged her. Bella continues to be unresponsive and looks dead. "I won't kill you. That'd be too easy. You deserve to live with this, both of you," Jacob told us. In tears, Jacob leaves the room as Edward continues to give Bella CPR. "You're not dead. You're not dead," I beg. "Come on! No, it will work. It will work. Please, please, please, please. Come back to me, please, baby. Bella, Bella, please, please." He bites all over her body, releasing his venom into her bloodstream. Bella looks dead on the outside but the venom is moving inside her body.

OUTSIDE

Jacob walks outside and sits down on the ground, arms wrapped around his knees. He sobs as he grieves over Bella's death. Seth and Leah are standing nearby as they listen to his thoughts."She didn't make it," Seth gasped as he tears up. Behind them, Paul-wolf hears them and leaves, heading to the Res.

BILLY'S HOUSE

Billy follows Sam out of his house, angry at what the man had told him. "I don't care what he's done. He's still my son," Billy argued with him. "I'm sorry, Billy. I just thought you should know," Sam said as he turned to face him. Paul comes up to him, angry, and whispers something to Sam. "Bella is dead. The thing killed her," Sam revealed, Billy upset and taken back. "Let's go!" The pack follows him as they head into the woods towards the Cullens' house.

CULLEN HOUSE

Jacob looked up and made his decision. He looks at Leah and Seth, nodding at them. They see him walking inside. He reaches the room where Renesmee is. Bree and Abigail are with her as Rosalie holds her. Rosalie holds Renesmee up. Renesmee looks at Jacob, who falls to his knees. As Jacob makes eye contact with Renesmee for the first time, he imprints on her, seeing her future from child to a grown woman."It's like gravity. Your whole center shifts. Suddenly, it's not the Earth holding you here. You would do anything, be anything she needs. A friend, a brother. A protector," his words echo in his head. They look at the wolf. They knew what happened. But that's when they heard howling outside. As the wolves surround the house getting ready for a fight.

Bree, Alice, Emmett, Edward, Jasper, Madison, Thomas, and I stand, protecting the house. Rosalie and Abigail stay with Renesmee. "We're outnumbered," Thomas spoke up. "By a lot," Alice added. "I won't let them hurt my family," Edward replied. Suddenly the wolves attack them and we try to fight them off. Carlisle, Esme, saw the fighting and joined in, helping their family. Emmett jumps to a tree, hitting Quil off. Esme sees that Jared is about to kill Alice, attacking the wolf, and saving her daughter in the process. Embry attacks Jasper as he punches him off, but that angers him even more. Embry attacks him again as Bree grabs him by the snout. She squeezes his snout, nearly breaking it. He whimpers in pain as Paul tackles her and stares at her, freezing in the process. He has imprinted on her.

He backs off as Jacob, Seth, and Leah jump into the fray. "Stop! It's over! If you kill them, you kill me," Jacob shouts. One of the wolves tries to attack again but Jacob turns into a wolf and stops them. Edward realizes what's happened. "Jacob imprinted. They can't hurt Renesmee" "The same goes for Bree and Paul. Whoever a wolf imprints on can't be harmed," I explained. "It's their most absolute law." And with that, the wolf pack turns around and leaves, Paul hesitating. Sam snarls at him as he looks at Bree in sadness, leaving. Bree feels heartbroken as she watches him leave. Jasper touches her shoulder as he notices her emotions.

LATER

Bella still appears to be dead. Cullen bathes and dresses her in fresh clothes. Bree paints her nails. "She shouldn't be this still," Edward asked. "It's the morphine," Carlisle replied. "Maybe I was too late," Edward added. "Maybe we were too late." I added "No, Edward, daphne," Carlisle informed us. "Listen to her heart. Still beating." I nod as Edward strokes his wife's cheek, knowing that she will come back to him and their child. "Wait until you meet her, Bella," I told her. "She's amazing."

ITALY

Aro, Marcus, and Caius receive a letter from Carlisle announcing that they have a new member of the Cullen family. Aro informs the two that their feud is not over yet, as they still have something that he wants.
