And I'm probably just gonna show how they felt.
November, 1978.
Walked to school alone this time, seemed like your friends either left without you, or you were the one that left without em.
Either way, you didn't really care. You knew you would probably see them at school.
You continued to walk as the cold morning breeze hit your face. Passing by the missing posters of every kid. Trying not to care, because you knew.. they were never coming back home.
You finally made that turn to get to school as you saw your friend group on the benches.
-"Y/N!"- Finney yelled while waving
You waved back, as Robin and Gwen also waved and gave you a smile.
-"You guys came early, what happened"- You questioned them
-"Robin wanted to be early to the grab n go since the workers take shifts and there's a new one on the morning that probably doesn't know we're banned!"- Gwen said trying to hold her laugh in
-"Pues, I wanted snacks. But turns out, the store is closed. They don't open till School Hours. Kinda lame"- Robin said
-"Fat ass"- you said
Finney and Gwenny giggled at that, but Robin looked like he wanted to laugh. But he tried making serious faces at you.
-20 minutes passed-
You heard the bell and headed inside to go to your classes.
Finney and you had gotten Science together, and Robin. The poor guy had different classes and no one ever helped him.
You and Finney still sat next to each other, you guys were kind of lucky. You had same classes together and same seats.
-Class had started-
You noticed Finn looking at Donna, while playing with his rocket ship pen/light. You continued to take your notes, but still payed attention at the two.
-"Now man, caught you staring at her" you whispered.
He turned red and just shushed you quietly.
-Class Ended-
You were walking with Finn on the hallways when you saw the three fucking dwarfs:
Matt, Matty, and Buzz
-Finney's POV:-
I was walking with Y/N until I saw Matt, Matty, and Buzz.
-"Hey Finney"- Matt said, as I left Y/N behind rushing to the bathroom.
I turned to notice Y/N's confused look as they tried to keep up with me.
I left them, and went to the bathroom.
I hid on the last stall putting my feet on the toilet. Trying to keep quiet, even if they knew I went to the bathroom, I wanted to keep myself hidden. Cause I knew if I came out and said the wrong thing. I would get my ass beaten, real bad..
-"Hey Finney"- I heard Matt
-"Come on out dickweed"- Matty
-"Not fooling anyone noid"- Buzz
I tried keeping quiet, but I decided then to come out the stall I was in. It's not like I was trying to be brave, I hoped a teacher walked in. But, I knew they were gonna call me a fairy and more. So, I decided to come out and take the shit they were gonna say to me.
-"What you doing on our bathroom, huh?"- Matt said
-"See the sign?, it says boys"- Matty added to Matt
And then Buzz added to them both:
-"Yeah boys, not fags"- he said giving me a disgusted look
And when I thought a teacher came to save me, I was relieved. But it wasn't a teacher, but Robin, which made me feel ever more relaxed.
-"Dipshits, move"- Robin said
They all moved when he said that, it's like he had some power on them.
Well, he had power on almost everyone since they were scared that he was gonna beat the shit out of them.
He walked pass them and washed his hands.
I didn't noticed his knuckles were bloody. Who knows what happened and if he got in another fight.
Probably beat the shit out of Moose or some random on the morning, since the blood didn't seem very dry.
-"Hey Finn, what's happening?"- he said
-"You know, just keeping on, keeping on. I guess"- I responded to him
He looked at them, I imagined that in his head he was saying something like:
-"Who are these lowlifes"
-"Y estos que?"
And many more, but. Robin's voice cut the silence after we all kept quiet.
-"Moose got some damn sharp teeth, knuckles bled all first period long"- he said, of course he got in another fight. And with Moose, he never learnt his lesson
They were leaving the bathroom as Robin stopped them:
-"Wait"
They all turned.
-"Fuck with Finn again, I fuck with you"- he said staring at them. Dead in the eyes.
-"You can leave now" he said finishing with them
I went to do my business when they left and it was kinda awkward cause Robin was there when I was taking a piss, ignoring that.
I simply said: "thank you"
He replied to me:
-"Your gonna have to stand up for yourself one of these days"- Robin said
I then had the need to ask him:
-"Hey, why'd you fight Moose?"
-"He was a shit talking, pretty sure he'd back down. Nope" he said chuckling while I also chuckled with him
-"I was so surprised when he swung to be honest"- R
-"I mean, did you have to?, it looks like you really hurt him"- F
-"I was just gonna knock his ass down, wail on
Him a bit, but that wouldn't drawn no blood, in a situation like that. The more blood, the better. For the crowd you know?, makes a stronger point"- R
I nodded and he continued:
-"I've seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre Friday Night, you've seen it?"-R
-"That movie is rated R, my dad would never take me to see that"-F
-"My uncle takes me to the drive in, we see everything. But man, that movie, it's the best, ever."-R
-"Better than Enter The Dragon?"- F
-"Well okay, maybe second best"
-"You know I wanna see Bruce Lee movie one day, like. Maybe if it comes on TV you know?"-F
-"Yeah, yeah you will. Hey uhm, you got time to stop by my house after school?"- R
-"Is it math again?"- F
-"Mr. Johnson talks too fast, he doesn't explain it right, not like you. Can you walk me through it?
If I get another F, I'm suspended"- R
-"Yeah, sure"- I said. As we both left the bathroom to finally continue the hell hole someone decided to create to make children disappear their house for 8 hours.
Back to all of you:
You, Gwen, and Finn walked to your houses.
-"Fairy" from the distance you saw the three assholes staring at Finn, you flicked them off as they turned their backs from you.
-"Well, bye. It's Friday, I stay over at Susie's, I'll be back home in the morning"- Gwen
-"Okay"
-"And don't eat all the ice cream"- Gwen said smiling
-"I won't"- Finn said smiling back while waving goodbye to his sister.
-"I love your guys relationship, it's wholesome"- You said
-"Yeah, and. Uh, wanna stay over and watch movies?"- Finn
-"Sure!" You said, "I gotta tell my mom, so I'll ask. And if she lets me I'll go, so be prepared if you hear a knock on the door Blake"- you said
-"will do" he replied
-Hours passed-
You had prepared stuff to go to Finn's house, and asked your parents.
They trusted Finney, and let you sleep over.
You went to his house and knocked on the door.
It didn't take a minute for Finney to open it.
-"Hi Y/N!, get inside come on. Lets watch movies and eat ice cream?. Tomorrow I gotta help Robin with math, so. Wanna join?"- Finney asked
-"sure"- you said smiling to Finn
-The Movies-
You guys were watching scary movies, and were huddled up in a blanket while eating your ice cream.
Finney wasn't a big fan of scary movies, so when you guys were done with the ice cream. You held one of his hands letting him know that he was safe and you were there if anything were to happen.
Finn felt safe and you guys continued to watch the movie.
In one of the scenes, Finney covered his mouth looking behind, as you noticed he was staring at his sleeping father. He was a drunkie, but you never said anything. Cause you didn't wanted to offend neither of the siblings or the dad. Either way, it wasn't your business.
You two fell asleep on the living room, Finney on one side of the floor, and you on the couch.
-Morning-
You two woke up to the sound of screaming, crying, whips of a belt, and the sound of a very angry man.
Finney got up as soon as possible as you followed but hid behind him.
-"I'M SORRY!"- Gwen screamed, while the tears in her eyes rolled down her cheeks.
Her dad hitting her asking her why the police showed up to his work, and her repeating I'm sorry and I don't know.
Finney yelled:
-"Dad!"-
While his dad told him to mind his business and stay out of this.
You felt like you were having a panic attack, but you weren't able to move, not even blink.
The beating continued until Gwen seemed fed up, grabbing a bottle of Vodka:
-"Hit me again!, and I'm dropping it.."- she said screaming at her dad
-"You drop that god damn bottle of Vodka, and I will beat your ass..."
He tried making her flinch and scare her to not make her drop the bottle, but she did.., you heard how the bottle broke, and her dad pushed her to the floor as she screamed and cried more, begging for her dad to stop beating her.
-"You do not hear things!, nor see things, you are not your mother"
-"I know" poor Gwen cried..
-"And your dreams, their just fucking dreams"- Mr. Blake said.
-"My dreams are just dreams!"- she kept repeating as her dad told her to.
After, you saw Finney give his dad the most hateful look ever.
-"You knew anything about this?, same goes for you"
His father said, as Finn shook his head.
You all sat down on the living room, on the floor. Watching whatever was on TV, trying to calm yourselves down. You and Finney hugged Gwen from the sides as she continued to silently let it all out.
Robin's POV:
I was getting snacks for me and Finn, we were supposed to study math together. He was like my private tutor. And I enjoyed spending time with him. He was my best-friend.
I went to the back of a store, to a van. Because I wanted to get cheap candy and stuff for us.
The man from the van got out.
And he lowkey looked like Batman while doing it, he had such a weird oufit on. But he walked towards me, kind of weird. But I kept on walking. I had to get to Finney's house either way. So I would need to hurry with the snacks.
But, I guess. That was one of my mistakes..
-Finney's house-
You all watched TV all day waiting for Robin to call Finney, so the two of you could go help him with Math. Never got a call.
But when you guys finally got a call, it was from the police calling everyone on the neighborhood.
Finney's dad went to ask Finney:
-"Do you know a kid named Robin, A-a-a"
He kept stuttering
-"Arellano?"- Finney
-"Yeah, that"-
-"He's a friend from school, why?"- Finn said
His dad hung up the phone and left the room with his head down.
Finney, Gwen, and I looked at each other.
I left their house.
Hoping everything would be okay..
-Hours passed-
As police started an investigation, all Saturday night and all Sunday.
I laid on my bed, and stared at my ceiling, worried. Scared, and sad.
Seeing that all of that happened in a day, broke your heart.
You just knew Gwen was trying to have dreams again, and tried comforting Finn most likely.
-days passed-
He never came back home.., it was Friday Morning again, when you saw Finn getting chased by the three bullies, Gwen running behind as you started doing the same thing.
They pushed Finney to the ground beating the shit out of him, Gwen grabbing a rock.
Repeating the scene that always happened.
-"You fucking cock sucking cowards, sons of bitches!"
She said hitting Matt again with the rock, making him bleed more than last time. As she now tried hitting Buzz this time failing miserably, as she now tried to take him down. This time it didn't work either. And you tried helping. But Matty pinned you to the ground punching you on the nose causing a nose bleed, and then. Buzz and Matty continued kicking Finney.
You three went to school beaten up, but didn't even bother to go to the nurse.

Donna talked to Finney to be partners since this one girl asked you. And you were too kind to say no.
At least Finn's day was getting little by little better.
-School ending, as you guys walked back home again-
