I changed into my training outfit that was left at the end of my bed while I slept. I did not like the fact that Kallisto was in my room while I was sleeping. He creeps me out, maybe I should talk to Finnick about him. Who could I complain to about that?

I walked out to the dining room to see Finnick eating by himself. I haven't spoken to him since before the Reaping. He looked up as I stepped into the room and I looked down at the floor. I can't stand the depression in his eyes.

"Grab a plate. Keep your health up," he said standing and picked up his plate and turned to a small table setup buffet style.

I grabbed a plate and dished a small amount of food as Finnick dump a large portion of eggs on my plate. I followed Finnick back to the table as an Avox sat a drink down in front of me.

"I'm sorry," I said as Finnick began to eat. "I couldn't let Annie go back in. Losing Annie would have killed you. I-"

"And losing you wouldn't do the same?"

"You love Annie."

"I love you too! You're the only family that I have left. Losing you-" he began but was choked up and covered his eyes with his arm.

"I won the games once," I whispered.

"You know just as well as I do that Snow is not letting you out of that arena alive," Finnick said in a strand voice. "Whom ever was called, Mags was going to volunteer. It was her wish to protect you and Annie."

"No one told me there was a plan. But you also know as much as I do, that Capital would have but Cato and I in the arena."

"Neither of your names were called. You volunteered."

"Annie's name was drawn. Snow knows that I'd protect her. Then your name was called to hurt me. Was it Crixus's plan to protect you?" I asked.

"No. Seaton was supposed to volunteer. Not sure why Crixus volunteered. They both moved to volunteer, just Crixus spoke first."

I looked down at my plate and took a bite of egg and then looked back at Finnick. "Why was I not told the plan?"

"I'm not having this conversation now. It's done and over with. The plan now is to get you out of the arena alive."

"Okay. But what was the plan before? I have a right to know if it involves me," I said as Finnick glared at me.

"You didn't know the plan because you are impulsive and don't think!"

"I am not!"

"You fell in love with someone from a different district when you were supposed to kill him. You didn't think of the consequences that would come from that!"

"I-" but he continued with his rant.

"You volunteered giving Snow a win for you going back into the games. Now he has a chance to kill you! Everything is moving fast and now you've gone and thrown in a wedge!"

"What do you mean?" I asked in a whisper. "Crixus said the same thing. What is going on?"

"I said I'm not having this conversation! Especially with a impulsive child."

"I am not a child!" I seethed and glared at Finnick. "I grew up just as fast as you did. I-" I begin but dropped my fork on the table and stood up. "I don't have to have this conversation either."

I stalked from the room and towards the elevator. Crixus will come down when he once or he'll drink until the games start. The elevator doors slide close as Finnick yelled for me.

I leaned against the wall and closed my eyes and willed myself not to cry. I can't show any weaknesses being the youngest person in this games.

The elevator stopped and I opened my eyes confused. The ride was much longer to the training center. I looked up at the numbers on the wall and saw that two was glowing. The doors slide open and I moved to the side to make room for Brutus and Enobaria. I really didn't want to talk with anyone from two. The doors slide shut as I stared down at the ground.

"Our training outfits weren't this sexy." Cato said as I looked over at him.

The outfit was a black and white jumpsuit that was skin tight and seem to have been made for swimming. The drive suits on the ships were made of similar material. I used to help my mom clean our dad's suits.

Cato fingered the strap on my shoulder as he gave me a small, sad smile. "It was twisted."

"Thanks," I looked back at the ground and began to play with my fingers.

"I'm sorry about what I said last night. I was scared for you. But, I understand why you did it. I just, I just,"

The elevator stopped and the door slide open to the lobby of the training center because this year I wouldn't be seeing Cato in the training center. I looked at Cato as he stepped towards me and leaned in close to my ear.

"Don't train with Two." He kissed my cheek and walked out of the elevator.

The doors slide closed as he looked back at me with a frown and I sunk down to the training center. I took a deep breath as the doors slide open as the Seventy-fifth Hunger Games began.
