Vance Hopper was an infamous 16 year old boy at Stapleton high in Denver Colorado. He was known for the fights he caused for what was told to be little to no reason, people could only describe him as rude and abrasive, an aggressive asshole. He did poorly in class, when he even bothered to show up, and could be seen either smoking or fighting in alleys ways after school. The only time he wasn't doing something completely horrid was when he would watch baseball. Bruce Yamada, the exact opposite of Vance Hopper. Perfect golden boy, great grades, nice, tall, handsome, good family, nice house, and baseball star. That was the only easy way you could connect the two, baseball, Vance watched, Bruce played. Bruce wanted nothing to do with the other and vice versa.

Okay look, I had already known it wasn't exactly ideal accepting the tutoring job, but what else was I supposed to do? If I hadn't accepted it would mean I couldn't handle it (even if that's true)
The day prior — POV~Vance
"Let me level with you here Vance." She continues, "You are almost failing every one of your classes, but technically you're scraping by". She sighs with an emotion I can't exactly decipher. Sadness, pity, and disappointment are nothing new to me, but I've never really got the hang of emotions. "You ARE however failing your science, and math courses, meaning that even if you passed your regents you would still have to retake this year's courses again." Shit. I knew I wasn't doing great, but I know for a fact having to repeat courses was not gonna go well for me. I decided to speak up for the first time this meeting. "So what I'm a lost cause?" She must hear the slight tone in my voice (and it must give away I'm not hopeful) because her look of sad, angry disappointment, fades into something softer. Now, that was pity. She starts again, "No, no, there's still time we just have to find you a tutor." She reaches out for my hand, but ends up pulling back when I maneuver my arm out of the way, pushing down on my bouncing knee as I stand. "If you find anyone who'll do it let me know I guess." She nods, giving one more soft emotion swirled smile before I exit into the busy hallway of the school. Now while I hate everything about school, repeating anything is just not an option. Although I'll most likely get stuck with some school guidance tutor that tries harder to bait me into spilling secrets than gettin' math in my brain. I need this tutor. There's prolly not one smart kid who isn't at least in the slightest bit scared of me. Robin Arellano is probably the only kid at our school who will glare back (or even look at me without grimacing but that's besides the point.) This place hates me and I hate it back. It's only fair when you think about it.
Yup yup first chap re-do hopin' to get back into this again but whatevs peace
