"Yeah, so...wanna play a round of Monopoly while we wait for Sean to arrive? Just an FYI, I beat everyone." Y/n proclaimed, "I'm, like, the Queen of board games... Definitely."

For context, the Music Club decided to gather up at Hailey and Zander's house. Originally, they were going to practice after school in the Music Room, but Drew and his goons wouldn't stop pestering them lately. Which included: messing around with Luke's drum sticks, un-tuning Hailey and Milly's guitars, and doing whatever the heck they did to Y/n's violin that made it squeak no matter how many times she readjusted the strings.

"Oh gosh, not that dreaded board game..." Zander groaned. "Michael is the worst at it. I can't tell if he's being serious, but he's always getting useless stuff."

"We should play as teams, like a battle royale kind of thing." Luke suggested, desperately throwing glances at Y/n.

"You just want to be paired up with Y/n..."

"BOYS VERSUS GIRLS!"

"Alright, alright, let's get started." Hailey said. "I'll set it up."

"Yes, this will be interesting."

"Can you shut up for a second? I'm trying to think!"

"Who knew you had the capacity to think?"

Milly made an attempt to shove Zander, and the latter stepped quickly out of the way, so she fell into a wall. "I HATE YOU!"

"I'm starting to believe that the school has beef with all of us because of you, Milly." Y/n sighed as she kneeled down to help Hailey set up. Or rather, to convince Hailey and Zander's younger sister, Bethany, to stop playing with the fake money.

"Noooo, not true at all! Just because I know how to defend myself doesn't mean everyone hates us, right?"

"...right?"

"Alright, we finished setting up. Let's start." Ignoring Milly's previous statement, Hailey turned to the rest, shaking the bag that contained the pieces.

"Okay, but I also wanna play this game of war." Bethany spoke up, lifting her head off Hailey's lap, and started rifling through the plastic bag for her piece.

"Is everyone ready? Let's begin!" Y/n exclaimed.

"Ready, you two? Let's beat their ass!"

"Ready, Zander?"

"Yeah."

Milly took the dice and rolled. "Highest number gets to start first. Drat, why do I always get the lowest numbers?" She frowned at the dice, which displayed a four, two and two combined.

"Ha."

Zander was the next one to take the dice and he rolled. He got a 5.

"NO!"

"I'll go next." Hailey volunteered, "Hey, would you look at that! I got a five as well."

Luke took the dice and rolled. He smiled softly at the fact that he landed on decent property. "This space costs a hundred dollars. Would anyone want it before I claim it?"

"YES," Milly yelped. "Who knows, you might land on it!" She handed over her fake money, and took the property card from the pile. "No way! Only fifteen dollars if you- no WAY!"

"Oh geez, I can't wait to see what she got." Y/n sighed as she rolled the dice and got a three.

Wow. That's depressing

"You owe me fifteen dollars, pay up." Milly said rather pathetically. "Ugh, I really shouldn't have bought that trash space."

"Yeah, alright." Y/n couldn't help but grumble, reluctantly sliding over the papers needed.
