'Ugh, another school day.'

Walking to the high school he currently attended, Jake couldn't help but overhear his friends' conversation.

"You're out of your mind Liam. Get your head out of your ass for once in your life!"

"'Sup guys." Jake greeted, though it sounded more like a question than an actual greeting.

"Jake, back me up here." Henry, one of Jake's friends, pleaded desperately, "Tell Liam that Stacy is way hotter than her mom!"

Liam, another one of Jake's friends, spoke up before the dreamer could even open his mouth to question any further, "You have to admit that Stacy's mom has it going on!"

"You're messed up, dude."

Jake's other (and closest) friend, Drew, ignored Henry and Liam to start a conversation with Jake. "Hey Jake, you know how I told you about asking my parents for the new LuniBox console for my birthday?"

"Oh yeah," Jake said, "did they say yes?"

Drew smirked, a hand on his hip. "Well, they bought it for me last night. Now I can play the new Gacha Warfare on my new 8K ultra wide monitors."

"Must be nice having rich parents..." Jake mumbled under his breath, though no one heard him.

Ignoring what Jake said, Drew elbowed him on the forearm. "Hey, look who's about to walk past."

"Good morning, Jake!"

Dude, she said your name! Say something, you moron!

"AHH! M-Morning, Daisy!"

Ugh, that was smooth.

Ah yes, Daisy. Jake's first crush, the only person who defended him against his bullies in elementary school.

"Bro, you are so obvious." Liam exclaimed, almost doubling over in laughter. "Just ask her out already, before I get there first."

"Ha, fat chance." Jake grumbled, "And I will, I'm just... waiting for the right moment."

"You've been waiting for the 'right moment' for years!" Drew deducted, rolling his eyes.

"Just admit it, you're a chicken!" Henry yelled a bit too loudly for comfort. He then proceeded to act like a chicken, as if what he previously said wasn't embarrassing enough.

"BWAK! BWAKBWAKBWAK!"

"SHUT UP!"

In the midst of their laughter, they hardly realized that three people from a specific club were walking by. That was, until Drew pointed it out in... not a very polite way.

"Oh look, it's the music freak duo."

"What a bunch of nerds!" Henry added.

Zander and Hailey, also the most well-known 'freaks' of the school. And there was another one, but she didn't really go out of her way to make herself known throughout the school.

Anyways, unfortunately for Drew and his friends, one of them was ready to shoot back with a comeback.

"Oh, look at this, Zander." Hailey said, playfully nudging Zander on the arm, "It's the monkeys who have nothing better to do than to look down on others because it's the only way they deal with their daddy issues."
