Chapter 23 - Bonding

PAUL - 

I held my newly marked mate close to me and leaned into the spot where my teeth broke her skin. I couldn’t help but nuzzle deeply into that part of her neck. I could feel the goosebumps that rose under my lips. I took pride in knowing she was fully my Luna and now the entire pack would know it too. I closed my eyes and took in another deep breath of her lovely scent. I spared a quick glance at the forest below us before pushing through our link to say “Put us down my love.” 

I could feel my stomach drop slightly as Gabby instantly lowered us to the ground, close to the fire I made. We landed softly on our feet and my mouth opened involuntarily at the swift movement. She took my breath away!  It felt strange and exciting to be moved through the air like that. Gabby leaned away from me and looked into my eyes. Her facial expression was one full of questions.

“You didn’t like being up there?” she asked with a playful little pout on her face but her eyes were anxious. I knew she was trying to keep it cheerful but I could sense a little bit of nervousness. I could feel her fear. It was faint but still there. The fear that her magic would scare me. But, nothing was further from the truth.

“It's not that,” I said gently, trying to offer the reassurance she needed, my hands gripping her hips tightly. Her eyes searched mine as she tried to explain, “I’m sorry! I got so excited I got carried away!” “I saw your memories, I felt your feelings! It’s like I WAS you!”.

I couldn’t stop the smile I started. She is just so cute. “I’m ok, I just wanted to do this.” I quickly tugged on her waist, pulling her to the ground. Gabby yelped, her eyes wide with surprise and new amusement. I rolled her gently onto her back and leaned in to kiss her forehead. She tilted her head up slightly and my lips landed on hers. Her lips were gentle, soft, and slightly parted. I took the opportunity to explore her warm mouth, as the impromptu kiss felt like an invitation. Her tongue slid across my upper lip causing a rising heat. 

Through our new bond, I could feel her growing need for me.  I felt like a dial that activated my arousal was turned to its highest level and I was instantly hard. It felt like I was drowning in her desire as well as my own. When I looked, her eyes were searching mine the same way. I succumbed to the urge to take her here and now, in the middle of the woods. She needs to feel the love I am prepared to give her. She accepted my mark and all that was left was to consummate our love.

My tongue gave a gentle lick over the claim bite to her neck before I raised my head. My lips grazed her ear ever so slightly.  “You’re so beautiful,” I groaned with a need I’ve never felt before. I just had to let her know,“I love you. I need to be inside you.”  I could hear her swift intake of air just below her rapidly beating heart. I knew this was causing my primal need to hunt and conquer. 

“Make me yours,” her soft whisper in my ear was like a shot of adrenaline. She looked into my eyes the way she did when we were young, as if I created the moon and stars just for her. I swiftly kissed up and down her chin before returning again to her sweet mouth. She parted her lips freely to accept my invading tongue. The increase in her scent failed to quell the frenzy inside me. 

I leaned over slightly so as to not place my entire weight on her and laid on her left side. I threw my leg over her and roughly pressed my groin into her thigh. I wanted…no…NEEDED her to feel what she was doing to me. She moaned softly and twisted herself towards me, her hands lightly roaming over my chest. My breath hitched in my throat as her gentle fingers slid over my chest. My gaze slid over her body and settled on her chest, hypnotized by where her quick breaths made it rise and fall. 

I rested my roaming hands at the bottom of her shirt and proceeded to tug it over her soft breasts. My palms zeroed in on the front of her pretty bra before reaching behind her and quickly removing the flimsy barrier between us. I could feel the vibration of a deep growl in my chest and I tried to suppress it. I inhaled sharply, burying my face in the middle of her chest.
