Nova
"Okay, that's everything, Nova," my dad says, setting the last box down in my room."Thanks, Dad," I say as I unpack my clothes and put them up.
My phone started to ring; it was a group chat FaceTime with Giselle, Giovanni, and Maria.
"Hello," I say, putting my AirPods in.
"Ahh, bitch, you're finally back!!" Maria screams, and I flinch from her voice.
"Damn, I just got back, and you're already trying to kill me with your voice." I laugh.
"Sorry, I'm just so excited I can finally see you in person after like a billion years." Maria smiles.
"You know who else is coming back?" Giselle says with a smile.
"Yeah, but he said he might not be able to make it in time, so I don't want to get my hopes up."Maria frowns.
"Trust me, if he loves you like he says he does, he'll make it no matter how hard it is," Giselle says.
"We will see," Maria says nervously.
"Did they tell you they were going to a club after graduation? Bitches turn 18 and think they're grown, I swear." Giovanni says, shaking his head.
"Bet you won't talk that shit to my face," Maria's words made Giovanni go quiet. Giselle and I laugh; I missed my friends so much.
"But anyways, girl, we just called to tell you to make sure you dress up because we are going to the club after to turn up," Maria says, hyped.
"Oh yeah, and also wanted to tell you guys something too."
"I made a friend while I was in boarding school, and she lives not so far from us. Is it cool if I bring her to the party?"
"Of course, she better be turned."
"Oh, most def she is." I laugh.
"Okay, see you at the graduation."
"See you later," I say to everyone and end the call.
I finish unpacking my clothes, hanging the last shirt up in my closet, and next to it was a black jacket that I didn't recognize until I realized it was Daisuke's jacket from that party I went to a while back—the memories of the night flood through my mind. I smiled at how sweet he was to me after everything that happened; I missed Daisuke a lot.
I already had an outfit laid out. Once I finished unpacking the rest of my things, it was around 4 p.m. It took me all morning and half the day to finish. I sighed a breath of relief. I'm finally done.
But Maria's graduation starts at 5:30, and I needed to get ready now if I wanted to be on time. I took a shower and did my hygiene routine. I brushed my straightened hair out that hung past my shoulders. This silk press was not going to last more than a week, so I better enjoy it while it lasted.
I did my makeup, putting a little concealer on since I knew I was going to sweat most of it off. I put a little highlight on my cheekbones, the top of my nose, and the crease of my eyes. Then I did eyeliner and added lashes on top of it.
I put on a cropped white top and a black skin-tight leather mini skirt that, when I put a puffer jacket pullover on top of it, fit me perfectly. I didn't want to look like a hooch at these people's school. But trust me, I was going to take it off when I got to the club. This fit is so cute; my belly piercing pulls the whole fit together. I put on my black leather heel boots and layered some silver necklaces and bracelets to match my silver and black purse.
I put on lip gloss and some perfume, putting it in my purse for later. I looked so cute. I definitely had to take pictures.
