Author's POV

It's been four months since that weird encounter between Acnologia and Kin and in those passing months, Kin never forgot about it, while Acnologia, being Acnologia, didn't care and forgot all about it. (Idiot)

And speaking of Acnologia, he was currently in his cave cursing himself for not choosing a better place to stay. Why you may ask? Because the current month is December and it's snowing heavily, at the top of the mountain.

Acnologia lay in his cave, in dragon form, with a campfire that was lit by him with blue flames. Acnologia was thinking of many things and what he should do now since it's boring to just lay in the cave and do nothing but sleep.

Acnologia closed his eyes and focused on the magic in Fiore. There were all kinds of magic he sensed, from powerful magic to weak magic but the magic that stood out the most was...Dragon Slayer Magic. The round pale eyes of the black dragon narrowed immensely, that there were only white horizontal lines for his eyes.

"So there are more of them huh? Seven at that, 5 seemed like they were trained by dragons, and 2 with lacrimas. They are a bit weak though. Hmmm~ killing them won't be too bad right? Oh well...I can't be bothered." Acnologia said with curiosity and then disinterest.

Just when Acno was about to fall asleep, he felt an immense magic power coming through the barrier he made. the barrier did not prevent intruders, like humans, it only alerted the black dragon of their presence when he is not paying attention to anything, like right now.

As the presence of the person came closer, Acnologia blocked his own presence and his magic and hid in the dark of the cave waiting for the person to come into his cave. When the person reached the entrance...

Gildarts POV (bet ya didn't expect that ^3^)

I was currently taking on the 100-year quest, passing through a village and into the forest making my way towards Mt. Zonia. It was snowing quite hard up the mountain as I made a path in the snow while climbing up the mountain.

As I climbed up more of the mountain, I passed through a thin layer of magic that seemed to be some sort of barrier, and then it hit me. A powerful magic presence, it was fricking overwhelming even for me, an s-class mage. As quick as I felt it, it lessened as if it was gone but I could tell it came from the top of the mountain.

I climbed to the top where there was a cave where I could feel a sinister presence coming from in the void of the cave, I ventured further into the dark cave determined to find the source of such powerful and overwhelming magic.

I came to a dead end, I touched what seemed like the wall of the cave. It felt strangely smooth at first but as I ran my hands there were bumps but it wasn't dusty, wet, or cold as you will think it should be especially during winter, it was...warm?

Then it moved, it push against my hand and a gush of warm air came as it pulled away. I knew the cave entrance was behind me and not to the side. I gulped as I turned my head in the direction of where the wind came from, at first I didn't see anything but then 2 pale glowing circles, that looked like eyes, opened and were now staring at me.

Out of reflex, I jumped back to the entrance of the cave as quickly as I can, which is fast considering my rank but I barely dodged the large, clawed arm that swung at me during my attempt to get away, and the large, clawed arm was now a few feet away from me.

'From the looks and size of it, it can't be a wyvern...so then what is that!?'

A large silhouette of the monster became visible and the mouth opened, showing rows of white razors, sharp teeth, and a blue magic circle appeared. I thought it was about to attack me, I got into a defensive position ready for when it fired.

It fired but it wasn't aimed at me but at a large campfire, the fire was blue, and the light from it lit up the cave. "I didn't know there was a campfire or else I would have lit it to see better," I muttered to myself. I forgot about the monster until I heard a growl from behind me and I turned around.

I felt like my heart dropped to the floor and burst, while the breath was knocked out of me from the shock and dread that filled my body by what-no who was in front of me. It was...
