The usual bell rang indicating that it's lunch time. Ugh, thank god! I'm so starving. I only ate a granola this morning because my alarm clock failed to annoy the shit out of me.

I entered the cafeteria. It's your typical cafeteria. Grouped according to kinds. The populars, the jocks, the brains, and then the normal people. In which we are included.

I scanned the crowd for the table that i've spent years sitting on. It's empty. Yet.

If you're wondering who 'we' is, it's my friends, obviously.
They're not popular or rich but they're awesome people!

Seeing a long line ahead, i drifted into deep thought.

I still have no idea who that guy in the library was. It wasn't a school library but it's possible that he's someone from this school. I examined the room carefully, hoping to meet his eyes. But, sadly, no. I don't see any piece of his existence.

Out of nowhere, i heard an annoying tone. It's one of the caterers. Don't call me bitchy. Okay maybe i am, but almost all of the students in this room agrees with me. The caterers here are not the kindest.

"I said what do you want?" The mid-twenties woman rolled her eyes on me.
Pshh. How rude.

I looked down at the delicious food and made a choice. Well, it's the usual. Two slices of pizza and a can of diet coke.

Hey, a girls gotta eat.

After i got my lunch, i walk toward our table and smiled at what i saw.

Zara Davis, with her usual outfit-black skinny jeans, white tank top that showed her black bralette, topped with a black leather jacket- sat with the a blonde, Eva Charleston. Eva with her casual vibe going, covered her slim body with casual and comfy clothing-Dark jeans and shirt with a light washed button up. As i walked with only inches to them, another blode joined, Amber Hudson, with her innocent looking ensemble consisting of a knee length sundress and brown kitten heels.

"Hey guys!" I said in the most cheerful tone.

"Hey!"
"There's my girl!"
"Brooke!" The 3 joyfully said, all in unison.

"Soo? How's the weekend?" I asked in a half-singing voice

"Ooh! Me first!" Zara raised her hand with plum colored nails. "Mason's hosting a party this friday. We have to go guys! This is the first party of the school year." She said as if she's introducing the cure for cancer. Of course! It's Zara! She's the wild one of our group. Attending parties are always on her to-do list.

But i agree with Zara's plans. "I'm in. Watching sappy Romance movies with a bowl of popcorn sounds fun but i've been craving to go to a party since first day." They chuckled. "Yeah sounds fun! I wanna dance my ass off." Eva said, half-dancing sheepishly.

My bestfriend, Eva, is the funniest person i know. Being the most casual and goofy, she's the kind of person who brings joy to your life with her sarcastic and witty comebacks. We giggled. My friends love parties. Sure, they're nice people but they know how to have fun every once in a while.

Except for one friend....

Since Amber's the innocent one of the group, we gave her a look. We all evil-y grinned at Amber, with a 'you're-going-to-this-party-or-else' message included.

She got our message. "Well..." She paused, obviously thinking. "I wouldn't want to be spontaneously dragged in the middle of my study sessions by you guys, so i'm going" We laughed at her as she sighed in defeat.

"Besides, i could use a drink" Amber said with a hint of sadness.

Our laughing disappeared into thin air as we remembered.

Amber's just gone through a bad break up.

"Don't worry about that jerk." Zara pointed out, her voice full of concern. "Yeah. He's a jerk for letting an amazing girl slip through his hands." I said, taking a sip of soda. I hate seeing girls heartbroken.

The others nodded, agreeing with me. Amber's eyes filled with thankfulness. "Thanks guys."

"You know we could just ditch the party, go to his house and burn his porsche." Eva said jokingly "We're not doing that." I said, even though i sounded like a mother "We're going to this party, get fucking drunk, and dance our ass off. Because WE deserve it" I exclaimed.

"Cheers for us" Zara shouted, holding her can of coke.
We followed her and produced sound of cans We were all laughing until someone couged behind me.

"Someone's having fun without me"

"Adelaide!" We welcomed her.

She took a seat with us while giggling. She's another best friend and the most popular girl in the school. But, no, she's not a 'Queen Bitch'. Instead, simply call her 'Queen Bee'. You can tell that she's intelligent with her soft brown short hair and classy style.

"What's up?" She asked curiously to why we're laughing earlier. "I know you're gonna agree to this but i'm gonna ask you anyway" Zara started. "There's this party Mason's hosting and we're all going!"

"Sure i'm in." Adelaide said with a smirk. "That's perfect! We're complete!" Amber said.

While the other girls were talking about some stuff. I peacefully eat my pizza while reading the book i bought the other day. And speaking of the book, the tall curly haired boy popped into my mind for the hundredth time this day. I couldn't stop thinking about him. I felt the urge to ask the girls if they know any guy named Chris but when i looked at them, Adelaide poked my shoulder.

"Hey are you free after school?" She asked, and her expression looked like she's praying that i am free. I replied "Today's your lucky day because i have no work after school."

Suddenly, she giggled like a 5 year old. I raised my eyebrows at her jollyness. "Care to explain why you sound like a 5 year old right now?" I asked, slightly nervous.

She stopped giggling when she realized that i'm thinking something not nice. "Don't worry! It's nothing serious." she defended while shaking her hands in front of me. "You mean nothing illegal?" She shaked her head. "Good, because i thought we would tresspass a private property and you'll drag me alone in the bus. AGAIN!" I exclaimed, emphasizing the word 'again'

"C'mon! It wasn't that bad." She defended herself, not wanting to look bad.

"I had to pay $100 to the owner." I said slightly annoyed, thinking back to the day i had to pay $100 because we got caught trespassing. Well, i was the only one caught because Adelaide left me. "Where are we going anyway?" My tone sounding a little bit worried.

'We're just gonna-"

Her sentence was stopped by the bell, signaling that lunch time is over.

"Aww, it's time for science class." I exclaimed like a 5 year old not wanting to go to school.
