You should try and learn all you can from examination papers returned to you with the examiner's comments. Much can be learnt by correcting mistakes and by putting out more effort where it is required. Yet many students, once the preparatory test for a major examination is over , seem to dismiss it from their minds, and think no more about it, particularly if they have not done well in it.

Probably, they do this to maintain psychological comfort.
