The government is corrupt.
It's very simple to comprehend, yet at the same time, hard to accept.
The government is supposed to uphold the law, keep things in order. But those rules changed long ago.
30 years ago
"We bring forth our new president, Grayden Lyncher!"
A large applause came from the crowd, some yelled out his name. Grayden Lyncher. A new president. Everyone thought that he would restore our country and bring back our patriotic faith.
We were wrong. So wrong
As soon as he got the position, he raised our taxes. He destroyed the democratic way of the government, so that only he would control what decisions were made. With the taxes raised, most people couldn't afford to buy groceries, much less own a house or a car. People were forced to live on the streets. But he didn't stop there. He combined all the different armed forces, and made them into one army that ruled directly under him.
Only the rich lived in this world. Only the rich had a house. Only the rich lived a life.
The rest fought for simple things, like scraps of food, or a bottle of water.
I was born into this world. And I started a revolution
