Bad Power Scaling & fights

For the love of God all mighty why does no one know how to power scale? Seriously, It's ridiculous to me that the Mc, OC, or male reader will be OP but lose to the weakest guy inverse just so he can get a flashback and win.

I saw a fan-fic that made Izuku a Saiyan who trained since he was a kid, and he still struggled with the slime villain. How is that possible just shoot a ki blast or use the wind pressure from a punch, mind you Goku from DragonBall could do that.

Then if the Mc is OP and they fight the strongest person inverse the fight lasts two seconds, but the MC doesn't win he loses so he can try again even though they have the powers of a god, oh and in the fights they never use all abilities just the strongest one and one of the authors favorite just to get smacked around.

Oh boy and don't get me started on how they always have that one OC villain made to be an even match for the MC of the story, just to lose after the MC remembers something that was said last chapter or they lose a limb, but they just can't loose because they have so much on the line. It is bad writing and you don't get a pass because English isn't your first language power Scaling doesn't have to deal with grammar just because you decide how the fight goes at the end of the day.
