Diana and Daisy nervously look around them after Jade disappeared from their sight. The only thing the girls could see are the rain droplets hitting the ground, nearby trees, and lots of fog that seems like it covers the whole mountain top. Boy were the girls in for a ride when they decided to become vampire slayers, now they must prove it to Jade.
Diana sighs and grabs ahold of Daisy's hand, squeezing it gently, "We can do this.." Diana muttered, mostly to herself. Daisy nodded and looks around again, soon turning back to Diana with a nervous look.
"She said to follow the smell of the wind mixed with the rain, I can feel the wind but I can't smell anything! My nose isn't that good.." Daisy admitted with a nervous look, 'This is going to take a while..'
Diana sighs and inhales to get the scent of the wind and rain, the wind smelling like wet grass, along with the strong smell of rain. Diana closes her eyes to see a visual of the trail going down the mountain, all the way back to Jade's estate, which is pretty far from where the two girls are standing.
Diana opens her eyes and looks at Daisy, "I found the scent! Now let's get to Jade!" Diana grabs Daisy's hand again and began to run downhill, dragging Daisy gently.
Daisy gasped and tugged Diana's arm lightly, "Diana slow down! Your wound might reopen, plus we have till next sunrise to get down the mountain, no need to rush yourself!" Daisy shouted, nearly slipping on a pebble that was stuck inside the muddy path.
The path that the girls were running on was now muddy from the rain, the two girls can see small streams from the rain pouring downhill and making a small river. They would admire this if the circumstances were a bit different to now.
Diana stops for a moment, her sandals getting a little muddy from the mud that's below their feet. "Fine. But we gotta get back fast, it's starting to get cold out here and Jade is waiting for us." Diana stated, Daisy nods and decided to take the lead ahead.
After a few minutes of the two girls jogging down the muddy and rainy mountain, Daisy trips on a rope that was tied from tree to tree that was on either side of the path. Diana's eyes widen and she grabs Daisy's Haori before she face planted into the mud.
Daisy sighs in relief as Diana pulls her up, "Thanks..- LOOK OUT!" Daisy shouted with horrified eyes after looking behind Diana. Daisy tackles Diana onto the ground, barely avoiding the gigantic log that was about to hit them after Daisy tripped on the rope.
Daisy and Diana grunt in pain and slight disgust once they landed on the mud that surrounds them, Daisy stands up and looks at the log that was now hanging in the middle of the path, it nearly hit them!
"Jade knew that running down the mountain would be too easy.. she set up traps to slow us down! Because we underestimated her test.." Daisy exclaimed, sweating slightly.
Daisy stands up and pulls Diana up gently, looking down at her haori in disgust, Diana's haori was now muddy thanks to Daisy.
"Sorry Diana.." Daisy muttered with a sad look, she knew that that was Diana's favorite haori, and she ruined it by making her land in mud.
"It's Fine Daisy. Plus I can just wash it once we do get back down this mountain." Diana stated with a small smile, turning her attention back to the log that was hanging in front of them. A thick and strong rope was tied around the logs center.
Diana and Daisy shudder slightly at the thought of more traps waiting for them at the end of the mountain. Diana and Daisy take a step off the path and walk around the log, not wanting to touch it.
Once the two girls got around the log, they started to jog down the path again, more warily of their surroundings.
However, despite the two girls being wary and looking out for each other they weren't prepared for the other traps that littered the mountain's path.
Diana was sprinting with Daisy when she fell down in a large hole, leaves surrounding and cushioning her fall. The leaves also being the cover that hid the hole from the two girls sight.
"Diana!" Daisy shouted and reached a hand for Diana, Diana grabs it and pulls herself out of the hole slowly, once again wincing from the wound in her right arm.
"Don't worry about me. We gotta get down this mountain fast before Master Jade's other traps get triggered!" Diana exclaimed, finally pulling herself out of the hole that Jade dug to set the trap.
Daisy nods and runs down the mountain again with Diana in tow, throughout their journey down the two girls encountered many traps that they didn't think Jade would set right away, almost as if she was waiting for students to take in for training.
Diana was about to cross another hole trap before a bamboo trapped appeared out of nowhere and flung her into the trees, Diana not sticking the landing and landing on her stomach, her Haori getting covered in more mud.
Daisy too experience the bamboo traps while she was ahead of Diana, tripping onto her feet and landing on the mud. Daisy was about to jump another hole trap before getting flung up into the trees like Diana, also landing on her stomach.
The two girls were nearly down the mountain, their haori's dirty. Their hair messed up, and their body being battered and bruised. Some blood was leaking out of Daisy's face, and Diana's arm wound reopened from one of the bamboo traps.
The two girls also went through traps that had resulted with rocks being thrown at their faces and body, "EHHH?! ROCKS?! HOW DID MASTER JADE SET THESE UP?!" Diana screeched when a rock hit her forehead. . . . . . Down in Jade's estate, Jade was combing Yukio's hair again. His hair got messy and tangled up again while she was setting up the tests's traps for Daisy and Diana. Jade looked out the window to see the sun peaking through the horizon, it was almost sunrise, and the rain has stopped.
Jade turns back to the sleeping demon child and her mood saddens a little. 'What a sad aura.. this child had never been so miserable until his family was taken away from him.' Jade ran a hand through Yukio's long hair.
Feeling the silky hair and admiring the beautiful color, Yukio didn't stir and just continue to sleep peacefully. Jades attention shifts away from Yukio when she heard the door to her estate slide open.
There on her front door is a battered up, bloody Diana and Daisy. Diana holding her wounded arm and Daisy slightly huffing, her cheek swollen from being hit by multiple rocks.
"We... ha.. We m...made.. it.." Daisy choked out through tired huffs, Jade smiles, impressed that the girls managed to come down the mountain, nearly failing.
Diana and Daisy come into the shady house and slump onto the wall, holding each other and tearing up slightly in joy and pain. "Yay.. we made it... please can we sleep now..?" Diana asked with a small grin.
Jade chuckles and pats the two girls head, proud of their accomplishment.
"Diana.. Daisy.. i shall take you in as my two students. And train you to become Vampire slayers."
