Eliza woke up in their room later that night.
The sun was just setting, they were so comfortable and their fan was facing directly on them.
They knew they had to get up for work soon, but they were so lazy.
They checked their phone.
7:46.
They had to be at work at 9:30.
A notification from hours ago was also there, a message that read, "sleep well, see you later :)."
From Miko, of course.
Just seeing the word sleep was enough to convince Eliza's mind to rest some more.

Unfortunately they rested a bit too much.
They woke up, and it was 10:07.
Frantically stuffing things in their bag and getting dressed,
Eliza ran to the car and headed to work.
"Fuck fkdsisjsjs", Eliza rambled to themselves. The hospital was so short staffed, who knows how much trouble they could get in if nobody was there.
Eliza ran in the hospital door, trying to not seem nervous and panicked.
"I was worried you wouldn't show up." Eliza's annoying coworker, Xiao, said passive aggressively.
"Yeah, yeah. Go on then, it's time for you to leave."
"It was 'time for me to leave' almost twenty minutes ago. Tsk."
Eliza crossed their arms, watching him leave as they glared at each other.
"What's up with that boy?" A familiar voice asked calmly.
"Miko!" Eliza said.
The pink haired lady walked out of the hallway, and back into the waiting room where the front desk was.
"He seems upset. Is it because I've been eating all the candy?..." She says, covering her mouth dramatically.
They both laugh a bit.
"He's just got an attitude. He's so annoying. Don't mind him."
"Mhm, I won't. Though he was looking quite impatient last time I left."
"Uh, yeah... I'm quite late. He was supposed to leave a bit ago..."
Eliza watched his car drive out of the parking lot. He had one of those obnoxiously loud cars that made you wanna rip off your ears.
"Is that his car?" Miko asked.
"Yea. He thinks it's so cool."
"It's really loud...are we sure it's not broken???"
Miko asked, seemingly genuinely concerned for a moment.
"Haha, no. He's just weird. Anyhow, how's the boy doing?"
"Oh, great actually! He got stitches and he come home as soon as he wakes up. He's sleeping right now. They prescribed him painkillers and he has to stay home from school for a bit or do it online, but he's good and ready to go!"
"Jesus. He better stay out of fights...."
Eliza sighed.
"Haha, I tell him that all the time!"
Miko laughs.

(Sorry for the time skip..it's 4:08 am and I'm tired and idealess -chewy)

Later that morning, the boy woke up and Miko walked out of the hallway, with him in a wheelchair. She pushed him with a white bag containing prescriptions in her other hand.
"Heyyy! How's it going?" Eliza asked.
"We're all ready to go! Guessing I won't be back here anytime soon."
"Hah, says who?" The boy says sarcastically.
"Scara." Miko glares at him.
He rolled his eyes and sighed.
"Alright then... I hope he feels better soon. And try to stay out of fights, kid!" Eliza says.
"Shut up." The boy told them.
Miko apologized for him, they said their goodbyes, and then they both left.
Now just two more hours until Eliza could go home, but this was gonna be a long, boring two hours.
Staring at the candy jar, Miko had taken mostly cherry hard candies and saltwater taffies.
Noted.
