Jax and I go to the gender neutral bathrooms again at lunch. We had been about to kiss at recess when the bell went and we had to get to class. We decided to go back at lunch and here we are.

We both stand there, not quite sure what to do. We've been flirting for a while, but only as friends and not really planning on anything like this to happen, since Jax had a partner. But Jax and Maeve just broke up and now Maeve has been encouraging us to kiss for fun. We're standing pretty close, but it takes a while for us to do anything.

Jax and I both lean in, barely a centimetre apart, lips almost touching. They close the gap and kiss me softly, but confidently. I kiss back slowly, and then pull away. It was short, but it felt amazing.

We decide to go into a stall to give us some privacy. Jax leans in again and kisses me again, still confident, but this time it was sudden and strong. I kiss back fiercely, and wrap my arms around their neck. They wrap their arms around my lower back and press into me, deepening the kiss.

A few seconds later I pull away to take a breath, and they gasp as I start kissing down their neck. I unbutton their shirt slightly and move it so that I can keep kissing down their shoulder. I kiss back up and suck on the base of their neck, leaving a hickey.

I button up their shirt and kiss them again, and soon we're full on making out. The bell goes and we quickly pull away flustered, faces red. I look away and quickly open the stall door, stepping out and grabbing my bag. I'm about to open the door out of the bathroom when Jax grabs my hand. I turn around, smiling at them shyly, and they smile back. They're about to let go of my hand when I grip it back, and we leave the bathroom hand in hand.

I don't see Jax again until school's finished for the day. As I'm walking out of the building they bump into me and I turn around. "Oh, hey. Sorry." I mumble and walk away quickly.

They catch up with me outside and put their arm around my shoulder. "Why did ya say sorry earlier? I was the one that bumped into you!" They chuckle and pull me in closer.

I lean into them slightly, resting my head on their shoulder. I look up at them and whisper, "Sorry, I didn't know what to say after what happened earlier." Jax looks back down at me and speaks softly, "It's okay if you don't want to be anything more, we can just go back to being friends and pretend it never happened."

I look up in surprise and ask, "Wait, would you want to be more than friends?" Jax laughs and smiles, "Yeah, duh!" They exclaim.

I giggle and lean into them more, relaxing in their arms. I lift my head to whisper in their ear, "Well so do I." I kiss their cheek and sprint towards Salem, my face surely looking like a rose.
