We are now walking down the road of Gamos Residence, Camp Alagar in Lapasan. The road is quite thrilling. It's literally going down at the end so we seem like sliding or scooting ourselves down. When we get to the motorway, I already see the the blue and white building of our school. Our boarding house is just near our university, so practically, we will just be walking towards it.

Well, I am currently studying at University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines or USTP. And I study applied physics, yeah. I am not smart just for you to know. I just love studying astronomy and universe, and since physics field is really inclined with universe and space's stuffs so I decided to take this course. Even though it's grinding me slowly.

I am still stunned by how people interact and behave here in Cagayan. It's huge so there is a possibility I will get lost in here. I am still not familiar with these small places and I don't know if I know I can get back to the boarding house by myself. I am no street smart, ugh!

It's really hot actually, but the school is really near just to commute a taxi and plus, it's expensive. So yeah, the obvious choice is to walk.

"I'm so nervous, honestly," Andrea says in a complaining tone.

"This is gonna be so..." Cassy never finishes what she was about to say.

"Let's not think about that, okay? Everything will be fine," I convincingly say.

It's our first day of college... geeez... so we are now in 1st year. Today we have a Week of Welcome event or we simply call 'WOW'. Andrea and Cassy study Architecture and Milley is taking Civil Engineering. Our school must have a very interesting event for us and I feel nervous... yeah... me either but I try convince myself not to think about it. Just relax and enjoy what would be the outcome.

"And for sure, there will be new nice people to meet," I convincingly smile.

It's not until we get to the end of the sliding road and now we're in the motorway. We swerve our gaze from left to right and vice versa. And I already peer out the building of our school. We take a few couple of breaths because it really is tiring going down the tedious road. Well actually, this place we stay in is the training compound of police men so it's not surprising the atmosphere and compound formation. Thus, if you want to get your calves bigger, this is the perfect place to have crazy exercise.

We are now in front of the campus and we already get in from checking our bags by the two guards. The atmosphere is really different, of course. There are tons of people strolling in the campus, preoccupied, chitchatting jovially, meeting their new classmates excitedly, and there are some like me who find it the ambience first stunning and horrible but I try to never seem myself obviously.

We roam a bit from the entrance way until Andrea finally says, "Oh we got to go to our respective classrooms. Our department is over there." She points out her finger towards it.

"Steph," Cassy says and looks at me. "Have you already known your class room?"

"Oh, don't worry about me. I can manage."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. Oh, you got to go now." I intentionally smile at them.

"O... okay, bye then Steph, see you later," Cassy waves her hand and smiles.

"Bye."

I am now in my College of Science and Mathematics department and I have none known any other people here. Or even recognize their faces. I have never seen my classmates yet personally. I just realize that I am just separated a department from Andrea, Cassy, and Milley. They belong to CEA department, College of Architecture and Engineering.

My heart beats so fast that I can actually hear it and feel it. I know the name of our classroom but I don't know where it is. I am so tired lifting my legs, I am now on the third floor. I swerve my head from any direction, I don't know what I should expect to see. I start to go to the other direction unexpectedly and I don't notice some people at my back until I bump into someone's chest.

"Oh!" I surprisingly exclaim. We almost tumble but I quickly manage to pull back myself.

"Oh! Holy! I am so sorry..." I surprisingly say. I look at his face and I am so stunned by his beautiful countenance. He has wide eyes and perfectedly shaped lips. His hair is smoothed to the left side but it's not sleek and it's quite shaggy. His white skin is gleamed by the sun's light passing through the hall. He has good shape and is taller than me. Probably, he is in his senior year. And when I bumped into his chest it was hard.

He looks at me as if he has a score to settle with me. Well yes, I am dumb to never look at the right direction. And now I am quite in trouble with this handsome guy in front of me... geeez.

"I am so sorry," I repeatedly say.

"Really?" He raises one eyebrow. It took me more by surprise. What the h... whit this guy?

"I'm sorry... I... I didn't see you. I... was... I was actually..."

"I don't care. You must look where you are supposed to go. It's not that you don't care whom you're gonna bump into," his eyes narrow as if he's gonna kill me. Now I realize that this guy has really an attitude. He is horribly sassy. Ugh!

I can't help my pride anymore, I shake my head with anger ashing from my ears.

"I just said sorry, okay? And I am lost I don't know where is my room. I am knackered looking for it." I don't know if I did have to say that to him. "And look, I am sorry, isn't it enough for you?" Just because he gave an attitude and I want to return it so did I. I raise one eyebrow at him. He then smirks and shakes his head.

"So it's my fault now? And I don't care if your lost or where the shit your classroom is. I think you are a freshman? Right?" He pulls his smile to the other side and I bent my head down. I have the feeling of shame.

"Just for you to know, you are just a freshman here. You have no respect to seniors," he converges his eyebrows. Well, he is right though. Who am I to give an attitude, but no, I know I am in the right way and there is no one who can look down on me. I can assure it to myself. We didn't notice that we are just ignoring people passing by us.

I take a deep breathe to fireback but someone calls out behind me.

"Xander!"

I turn around and see a guy raising his hand, "Dude!"

I turn back to this sassy guy and I think he is the one the guy from behind called out a name, Xander. Okay his name is Xander, what an antagonist name, tsk!

"Alfonso! Dude!" Xander pulls all smiles and raises his hand back at Alfonso. He starts to walk off as if nothing had happened between us. He then completely ignores me. My mouth falls open, stunned by his sassy behaviour. What a dumbass!

I just look at him walk towards the guy and they widely open their arms that they are going to do the 'dude-hug.' They walk off towards opposite direction. My face shifts from anger to somewhat like relief. I don't know what I am feeling right now. But there is something that I can't explain, from his angelic face to giving me an attitude but think... I feel something butterflies swirling in my stomach.

I look at them until they swim through the crowds and are gone. I turn my head and blush and twitterpatedly smile.
