The Feeling
song used: The Feeling by Justin Bieber featuring Halsey

you are to me, a part of me
just like anatomy, you're pulling me,
you're pulling me in like you're gravity

Justin sighed as he flew through the sky, watching the city lights of Rome and then Paris flash by beneath him. As he soared through England, he watched as a few people looked up, but most people went about their night.

Once he made it back to New York, which was only in a matter of minutes, he landed on his favorite spot to view the skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge. His feet dangled over the granite, the cool autumn wind rushing through his hair as he peeled off his mask, allowing him to fully breathe in the night air.

Justin wasn't like most people his age. On a typical Sunday night, most high schoolers would be home, doing homework or hanging out with their friends someplace. But not him. He was halfway across the world, fighting yet another extraterrestrial alien that wanted to take over Earth. That was his typical Sunday night, since he was one of the most powerful superheroes on Earth, second only to his dad.

After spending thirty minutes just resting and watching the city breathe, Justin stood up, putting on his mask again to fly between the buildings, this time getting a few waves and screams. The city of New York knew who he was, it was his home and he was their hero.

Justin quickly slipped into his room's window, which he always left slightly open so he could easily slip in. He took off his super suit, hanging it up in his closet, hidden away from plain sight. Just as he threw on some sweatpants, he heard a knock on his door.

"Justin, sweetie?" his mom called out. "Did you just get home?"

"Yea, let me put on a shirt."

Justin threw on a plain white t-shirt before opening the door to his mom, who always had cookies and a protein shake ready for him whenever he came home from a mission.

"Thanks Mom," he said, grabbing the snacks as his mom followed him into his room. He sat down on his bed and watched as his mom sat on his office chair, smiling at him.

"Are you okay? How was it this time?"

Justin nodded, taking a bite of his cookie, "It wasn't too bad, it was some weird alien squid thing that created a bunch of tsunamis because it was trying to come on land. I was there in time and stopped it before it could go further up Japan's coast."

His mom smiled, nodding. "That's good, you're getting more used to your powers."

It has been a good transition month for Justin. As he reached his older teen years, the responsibility of being the world's savior switched from his dad to him, and it was hard on his family at first.

Jeremy, aka OmniMan, was getting older, and though his powers were the same, his leadership relied more so on taking care of the responsibilities of the other heroes on Earth. He became the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D., which was the government system for superheroes, the ones that they report to so they can be better prepared just in case another similar attack happens. That left Justin to take his dad's spot as the most reliable superhero, which is a lot of pressure on a seventeen year old.

It took a few months from when Jeremy was assigned leader to where Justin was now, but everything seemed to be falling into place for Justin and his family. Small weekend missions here and there, enough for Justin to practice on his own without being in fatal danger. As much as Justin wanted to be the top hero of the world, he knew that though he was and called himself Invincible, it's going to take time and patience, which was ok with him. He was still only in high school after all.
