I saw this gorgeous woman at the army dance for officers and their spouses or dates in Livermore. I asked my fellow doctors who was that lady in a black gown. They told me her name was Jane Rizzoli and she was a well liked  army officer.  They were surprised I never met her , since I was there around the same time she was there. She and her platoon were prison of war. She apparently escaped but with her fellow platoon but was one of the soldiers who got seriously hurt. I told them it must of been when I was sick with food poisoning.  She was walking my way to order a drink.

I told the bar tender to put her drink
on my tab.

Mam I can afford my own beer but thank you. Don't be silly it's just a beer to thank you for serving our country and returning back here safe in one piece. Thank you I appreciate the kind words. I'm Lieutenant Jane Rizzoli.  Yes -  my fellow doctors told me your name.  A doctor - I see. My name is Maura Isles.  Thank you for the kind words and beer. Your very welcome.  I have to get going I am being shipped to Southern California at 0900 hours tomorrow.  Jane maybe after I finish my obligations here , we will meet again. I highly doubt it. Why is that? Once I  leave here I  am being sent to Los Angeles to finish my last two months. I am done with my service and become a civilian after 12 years with the army than moving to Sacramento. Where are you going? Sacramento California. I will be a lawyer with my niece's law firm. I just passed. I  am older but wanted a change. There is nothing wrong with that. Do whatever makes you happy. Jane I will hope to see you in Sacramento once I  finish my last three months of my 10  years of service working out of Livermore VA hospital than becoming the Forensics Medical Examiner for Sacramento County based out of the sheriff's office. I will be looking forward to seeing you in three months than.  I use to be a detective with the Boston PD but the army was the best way I could become a lawyer. Do you mind if I look you up and we can go have lunch? Sure my baby brother owns a restaurant called the Daily Robber by the police station where my other brother, family and friends work at. Where's your cell? Right here . May I put my number in it lieutenant? Yes you may.

Jane hands me her cell and I put doc and my digits.  She laughs and thanks me. I leave and head to the base to finish packing some things that wasn't being sent to Sacramento. I wonder if doc is into women. I guess I will find out. If she  is, we will have to be  careful. Even though the military accepts
lesbian, gay and bisexual in the military, they still make it hard on you .  I finally make it back to the base.I  take a shower and put my Boston pd and shorts over my boxers.  I start packing.  My cell rings.

Hello doc. Jane do you need any help packing? Sure . I will text you my address on base. Okay.  Let me change and I will be there in thirty minutes. I live on base too.

Jane texts me her address and I chuckle.  She is three blocks away from me. I text her back and tell her I will be there in ten minutes instead of how close we live by one another.

I hope she doesn't mind me coming in my military sweats. I decided to jog over there.
