"The Ceo of the Sacred jewel company was rumored to have a relationship with her secretary named Hojo, a photo of them-"

Tut.

The sound rang my ear as i turned the tv off.

I just sighed as i dropped my body lazily towards the cream colored couch before the screen.

Rubbing my hair, i still can't think of any excuse i could give for the rumor paparazzis had spread, in this case that the range of the rumor is spreading across and even beyond Japan, it's even harder to stop it.

I slowly lean my head in the arm of the couch then turn my head to peak at the glass transparent wall, windowing the city view.

Currently, im at my office, in the 15th floor of the Sacred jewel building.

A pair of knock barged in my brain storming, and with the weird rhythm the knocks are creating, i knew it swiftly, it's Hojo.

"Come in!" I yelled taking a slight gaze towards the door behind the couch, then there, entered a handsome man at my age, beholding a gray metal-ish tray with a pair of tea-cups on it.

He is wearing his usual secretary uniform, or that's what we decided to call it.

A gray-ish blazer with a plain white polo underneath it, a red tie is decorating his neck underneath the collar of the polo.

"I know you're upset right now, so i supposed you need a break." He beamed walking towards the maple table and placed the tray on it, afterwards.

"Just a simple tea time with me." He meekly smiled as though he is requesting it, a request i could tell i can't reject.

"'Thanks, that's a great help." I replied lifting my self up and walk towards the table where he stood.

He sat down the chair before the table and i sat at my usual place across him. I started picking up one of the cup and he had done picking up the other one.

"Im sorry." He grin empathetically avoiding to meet my gaze. "Because of me, you're in a big mess." Then the grin turned to a soft murmur and a
sigh tailing it.

I too, sigh as i slowly placed the cup down the saucer where i took it.
Until now, he is blaming himself for it, but it's not his fault, it's me who decided to drink to my heart content then ended up being unconscious, and when Hojo voluntarily send me home, a random person took a picture of us and upload it, the photo merely got viral within 24 hours and here we are now, a sober me, 1 week after the whole incident, facing the crisis.

The citizens mistook me and Hojo as lovers and now they are telling, or morelike ordering us to get married because; "we look good together."
But it's not that easy since me and Hojo are sharing a pure friendship, and only friendship, nothing more, it'd make it awkward if i we marry off because the majorities are telling us to.

Well, Hojo plan no rejection for the wedding, but it's me who don't want it because i don't want to taint our friendship for this scandal, but in
exchange for avoiding this "wedding" issue, our company is now in the verge of bankruptcy.

I just shook my head and replied, " we both know it's not your fault."

"Well you're wrong." He protested, still maintaining the calmness of his voice. "If only i let Sango drive you home, then this won't happen." He
frowned.

"But you know she had an emergency that night so you volunteered to drive me home." I countered.

"Still... im sorry.

"I object your apology..."

A smile crept to his lips after taking a short sip from his tea, then he gently placed down the cup to it's saucer. "You're really a tough one, huh." He grin still avoiding my gaze, i just nodded enthusiastically and replied nothing.

Then he made no remark making the whole office quiet, but the silence wasn't uncomfortable, its the silence we always share, the silence, i admit, that i enjoy, with him.

Ringggg ringggg ringggg

Oh damn it.

"Let me take It!" Hojo with his alertness squalled o.1 second the telephone rang, he took several footsteps towards the drawer where the office telephone is placed then with the blink of an eye, he is already making a conversation with the caller.

After a minute and a half, a heavy sigh escaped his breath, then again, a sympathetic gaze darted towards me.

"Let me guess.... " I energetically asked, maintaining the enthusiasm despite the obvious anxiety of him slowly wrapping the whole office. "There's another trouble, right?"

He didn't reply a minute then there's this heavy sigh again.

"I-Inuyasha Izayoi of the T-tessaiga corp." The name rolled his tongue a thought he could get killed if he finished mentioning it.

"What about him?"

"He is here."

What?

Shock and unsureness in mix probably showcaze my face now and even after few seconds, the expression i have didn't falter.

"He wanted to talk to you, about business." He added.

"Throw him out."

"He crashed the gate with his tank truck, he also brough tons of guards with him and the few guards we have can do nothing about it and just watch them enter our building." He frowned. "They're at the lobby now."

Sighed~

"Call him in." I mumbled and he just nodded in response dealing a number at the telephone again.

I have no choice but to deal with him now, if i will refuse to see him today, basing with his short tempered attitude, he will continue pestering me, so now im finishing anything before it could even start, only today, i will talk to that arrogant CEO of the Tessaiga corp.

I stood up from where i was sitting. After the call the Hojo had, i meekly suggested him to make another tea for the Izayoi CEO, he complied.

I waited, standing before the transparent wall, waiting for him to reach the office, until a knock stormed the lone place im staying at, with no
hesitation, i could tell, someone pushed the door from it's other side.

"A nice morning, isn't it?" His husky voice ranged my ear, sending shiver down my spine.

"Not for me." I replied trying to avoid the sun-heat gaze of his pair of golden eyes.

From the corner of my eyes, i could see him reach his silver white hair, as thought he is about to pull it.

He just slightly lean back the maple door and i couldn't tell why.

"Kagome Higurashi." He spoke for the second time around. "Let's talk about something. privately." And with that, his footsteps echoed the whole room, his way towards me, with a devilish smirk i couldn't decipher.

"About business, is it?" I asked with no expression, but deep inside me, my heart is about to jump off my chest for the reason i couldn't decipher.

"Well, you are not mistaken." A few feets and he's about to close the distance between us.

A few seconds more and he is already inches close to me, i had an urge to close my eyes and run but i chose not to show this weakness.

His palm touch the glass wall before me, and even though with this close distance i still didn't dare to turn around and look at him.

"For the sake of your company."

"Be my girlfriend."
