Loki had spent the best night of his life in a bed with Stephen Strange. Now, Thanos is threatening more than just Loki's brother or their people, more than just half the universe: He's threatening Loki's chance at true love.
Loki POV
Early 2017
I had grown tired of pretending to be Odin.
I slipped away from Asgard one night, opting to stroll along the forest paths of Trönsberg, Norway.
It was a beautiful winter night, and since I was part Jotun the cold didn't even bother me all that much. The Aurora Borealis shone in the sky alongside the shining stars.I looked down and saw a small bunny laying on it's side. The poor thing had been injured, most likely by a reckless hunter.
"It's okay. I won't hurt you, little one." I say quietly, kneeling down and scooping the darling thing up in my hands.
I delicately laid my hand over it's injury, whispering an incantation in old Norse that mother had taught me. The injury healed almost instantly and I set the little animal down. After a moment, it looked up at me as if to say thank you, then hopped off.I continued walking, the snow beginning to fall around me. I phased into a light jacket to keep my clothes from becoming wet.
About 40 minutes into my walk, I heard the sound of sparks behind me. I turned around and a saw a circle of golden sparks forming a portal. Out of the portal stepped one of the most beautiful men I have ever seen in my life.
"Loki Laufeyson?" The man said, his voice deep and smooth like melted honey.
"Who are you?" I say quietly, unable to hide the flirtation in my tone.
"Doctor Stephen Strange." The man answered in a very serious manner, glaring at with striking blue eyes. "Come with me. I have some questions for you that need answering."
I willingly stepped through the portal, entering a small room with two chairs and a small end-table.
"Have a seat." He orders, closing the portal behind him. I sat down in one of the chairs, feeling incredibly warm all of a sudden. I wasn't sure if it was my jacket or the gorgeous man now sitting across from me.
"What are your intentions on this planet?" Strange asks me, making intense eye contact.
"I just needed some time to myself. Time to reflect on some...less than admirable life decisions." I say quietly, feeling the sting of regret in my chest.
"So you regret trying to take over Earth?" Strange says, still sounding as serious as ever.
"Deeply." I say quietly, trying to hold back tears. "I made mistakes, and people were hurt. I've had several years to think about everything I did, and I very much want to reconcile with my brother, but he just doesn't trust me. No one ever did, except... except my mother."
A single tear escaped from my eyes at the thought of her. "I don't even know why I'm telling you this, it's just...for some stupid reason, It's like a part of me wants to trust you." I say quietly, taking a deep breath."I'm a good interrogator." Strange says, letting a little bit of arrogance and gloating drip into his tone.
"A good interrogator wouldn't gloat, Doctor Strange." I snark, folding my arms.
"Call me Stephen." Stephen says, making my heart skip a beat.
"Stephen." I say quietly, trying to keep myself from just throwing myself at him right now. The dirtiest fantasies flooded my brain, making it hard to focus.
"Do you consider yourself rehabilitated?" Stephen says, leaning back and holding his gloved hand against his temple.
Norns, this man is gorgeous...
