It was right before lunch break that Jimin's day got better. He had wondered what to do-whether to go and eat something or stay inside his classroom and focus on work-before he was offered an even better choice.
"Jimin-ssi?"
The gentle voice of Jeon Jungkook carried over to his ears despite the clatter of chairs and students chatting and saying their goodbyes as they exited the teacher's classroom. The alpha stood right next to the door, smiling at each student that passed him by.
"H-Hyung!"
With Jimin's surprised stutter, Jungkook's eyes returned to him and his smile grew even bigger. The P.E teacher had his hands tucked inside dark grey joggers as he stepped forward, looking as relaxed as ever. "I was wondering if you'd like to go grab something to eat?" His crooked grin made the alpha too handsome to handle, but Jimin was no stranger to his daily craving of (amongst other things) Jungkook's magnificent meat sceptre. "I know you are free next period and I also don't have any classes. Wanna get out of here for an hour or two?"
Were there angels singing somewhere near? Because Jimin sure thought he was seeing heaven's door open right before him.
"Yes," he jumped to his feet a little too quickly, making the alpha chuckle. "I'd love to! Let me just grab my things."
The last student had already left the classroom, so he didn't waste a minute to gather his wallet and the keys, and hurry to the little closet at the back to take out his coat.
Jungkook watched Jimin put the coat on, and only when the math teacher turned to look back at him-hands fixing the collar of his shirt-, did he ask, "No scarf today?"
Jimin froze.
"Y-yeah," his heart thumped louder. Jimin felt his wolf get anxious as he tried to keep his nerves under control. "It's pretty warm outside. Didn't think I'd need it, you know?"
The P.E teacher nodded with a low hum and Jimin could only pray that he wouldn't second guess his hesitant answer.
To tell the truth, the omega was almost entirely sure that he'd lost the scarf last night. In his haste to get the fuck away from Kim Haneul as quickly as he could, Jimin had misplaced the only thing Jungkook had ever gifted him. And he was ashamed to admit it. He didn't wanna see the disappointment in Jungkook's eyes-especially not on a day like this-so he hoped to slowly ease into the truth as the school year progressed. Because there was no way in hell he'd be telling the alpha he lost his gift today.
"Where..." Jimin looked at Jungkook as they exited his classroom. "Where's your coat?"
"Oh, I don't need one," he shrugged. "As you said, it's warm outside, and I'm usually running pretty hot."
"Running hot. I-I see..."
Jungkook's smile widened. Jimin watched him lick his lips. "Any specific place you'd like to go to?"
Shrugging, Jimin turned back to look ahead. "Not really." They were almost at the main entrance when he looked at Jungkook again, smiling up at him as nonchalantly as he could muster. Jimin was simply too excited to be going out to eat with the alpha to spare one cell of his brain thinking about what food he was craving in the first place. "Did you have a place in mind?"
With a little nod, Jungkook opened the door for them, letting Jimin exit the school first. Jimin had to squint from the sudden sunlight that attacked his eyes, and as he did, his gaze landed on the alpha smiling down at him; Jungkook's expression was so much brighter than the Sun itself. "How about some ramen?"
Heart fluttering, Jimin grinned back. "Sounds perfect."
"Great! I know a place two blocks away. We don't even have to take the car."
