Suspicious [Completed]

It's true?!

'I shouldn't be here this early.' I thought as I stood outside the laboratory alone. My friends were still in the library and I'd left early because I'm stuck with a question and needed some fresh air to clear my head. So, I went to the laboratory to prepare for my next class. I placed my bag on the shelves and settled myself on a bench against the wall of the lab while I flip through my notebook.

"Arthit." I heard someone saying and I turned to the window and found Mr. Kongpob already in the laboratory and standing in front of the prep room. He might've been there earlier since I didn't see him entering just now.

"Yes?" I saw the lab assistant peek out and was a little surprised to see Mr. Kongpob, "You're here so early?"

"Yes, just wanna spend more time with you, can't I?" Mr. Kongpob said with a cheeky smile and I was a little stunned by him blatantly flirting with the lab assistant.

Who knew Mr. Kongpob could be such a flirt?

"Kongpob." The lab assistant however, heaved a sigh despite his ears looking a little flushed.

"Don't you wanna let me in?" Mr. Kongpob asked and the lab assistant nodded softly before stepping aside. Mr. Kongpob took a step forward, winking at the lab assistant, earning a snort from the latter, "You're getting out if you try something funny."

"What do you mean by funny, Arthit?" I saw the two entering the prep room and Mr. Kongpob closed the door slightly but I could still hear them from where I was.

"You know what I mean."

"Care to explain?"

"Nope, now be quick. We still have a lot to do." I could hear the lab assistant getting a little annoyed or pretending to be annoyed.

"A lot?" Mr. Kongpob chuckled and a loud smack was heard.

"Kongpob!"

"Hey!" I was startled when I heard someone half-yelling by my ear and almost jumped out of my seat.

"What the hell?!" I looked to the side and found Tao with a few of my friends, "Do you need to scare me like that?"

"We're standing here for quite awhile already. Very surprised that you didn't notice us at all." Tao said as he rolled his eyes and sat beside me, scooching closer as he looked over my shoulders after placing a soft peck on my cheek, "What were you watching earlier?"

"Them." I whispered as I felt my heart skip a beat because of the kiss and looked pointedly at the slightly ajar prep room. I could hear my friends' snickers when they saw Tao kissing me but adverted their gaze to the prep room after they heard my words.

"Them? Who's inside?" Jae, one of my friends, too said as he looked inside the laboratory.

"Mr. Kongpob and the lab assistant." I continued whispering and they looked a little puzzled.

"What about them? And why are you whispering?" Tao asked as he looked at me, confused.

"They're inside the prep room." I said to them and they still looked confused.

"And?"

"Just come here." I pulled Tao and my other friends followed as we crouched near the entrance of the lab which is just right beside the prep room and all of us instantly blushed hearing the conversation between Mr. Kongpob and the lab assistant.

"Kongpob, stop!" The lab assistant said, softly panting.

"Why, Arthit? Don't you like it when I do this?"

"N-not here, Kongpob. Y-your stu-students, they're going to be here soon."

"It's still early, Arthit. It'll be fine." Mr. Kongpob gently coaxed and we heard more rustling.

"Kong-" The lab assistant's voice was muffled and we were too shook as we turned to look at each other with wide eyes.

"What is happening?" Tao said inaudibly and I shake my head.

"How would I know?"

We were still very in a muddled state when we heard a loud thump and the lab assistant's voice rang, "Kongpob! You promised nothing funny."

"This isn't funny."

"Get out." And Mr. Kongpob was shoved out of the prep room as he stumbled out with a grin. The door behind him was slammed shut and Mr. Kongpob's smile dropped when he noticed us, me and my friends, crouching by the entrance of the lab.

"Ahem." Tao instantly faked a cough as we all ran away to the shelves, pretending like we were grabbing our things while carefully eyeing Mr. Kongpob from the corner of our eyes. He heaved a breath and shook his head, saying, "Just come in."

We nodded and slowly grab all of our things before entering the lab and sat on our usual places. The class is still empty since it's still 20 minutes away from starting class. My friends 'busied' themselves with their manuals and notebooks when I looked up to find Mr. Kongpob frowning. His lips looked raw and his hair a little disheveled, and he looked really helpless.

So... it's true?!

"Mr. Kongpob." He looked at me when I called.

"We... We won't tell." And he nodded at me, looking relieved almost instantly.

"Thanks." He said with a small smile, "He... He's not ready yet."

"No worries, sir."
