This common home invader, is native to North America. You can easily tell them apart from other species of paper wasps, by their red color and yellow legs. Like most Paper Wasps, all except the queen die during the winter.

Their stunning appearance and bold red coloring can't disguise the fact, that they are merely common wasps. Their predators include, different species of birds, spiders, ants, and some mice. You are most likely to see these wasps, in late spring and all of summer.
