 It was a lovely day when the monsters were assigned to attack.

Seriously, I was re-considering.. Was this even a good idea? Nevertheless, I'd already gone through 3 years of unconventional high-schooling, if I wanted to back out, I should've done so far earlier. My doubts and regrets were quickly interrupted.
"Blurr!" I heard. The words were distant but were called again, getting louder. I snapped out of it. Internally adding to my 'spacing out at the group lunch table' count we were definitely past 10 consecutive times.
"Blurr," I heard again. This time hovering right over my head. The sun set my eyes ablaze when I looked up.

A figure hovered over me. Elysia.

"You gonna get off your ass or what?" They nudged me playfully. I broke into a grin and nudged them back,

"Don't you do the worst in most of the activities?" I teased. They gave me nothing but a scoff and slid over next to me,

"Dickhead." Sarcasm coating their voice. After planting their seat, I finally noticed the other two behind them. They were quieter than usual. I guessed they were also nervous.

"What do you think'll even happen?" Arrow asked. She was relatively broadly built, short and stocky. The group joked that if in a fight, the other party would just have to step on her to beat her. That was usually followed by her signature angry glare, which always came off as more intimidating in her head. Though all of the training showed they were pretty skilled.

"Whatever, I don't really care." Alvix, standing behind the rest, said, planting an aggressive shoulder pat on Arrow's left shoulder. He was by far the biggest of the group. He was built like a football player, only one that could take more hits than the rest of the team. "I haven't felt pain in years!" He'd say almost constantly, the rest of the group was doubtful of the statement. Though, Arrow and Elysia were starting to believe it.
