Dan's POV:
I waited in the common room for my only friend in my house. A girl called Lucy, in my year, had transferred here yesterday. She was one of the nice Slytherin, so when she we became friends. She was muggleborn (like me) and had short, curly blonde hair which was normally in a ponytail.
She finally made it out of the Girls' dorms, in her green and black robes. We talked about muggle TV shows as we walked to the great hall. When we entered the hall I searched for my friends Phil, PJ, Chris and a few girls. I brought Lucy to them and she sat with the other Hufflepuff girls while I sat with the boys.
"Yay! A new year of school!" Chris cheered sarcastically. We all rolled our eyes, laughed and finished eating our breakfast.
