The boy's p.o.v

" See I'm not dangerous" I said making her smile for the first time since I've met her. She didn't seem poor but she didn't seem like she had a lot of money either. She was wearing a dark blue tank top over a black sports bra with black jeans and grey converse. The jeans were ripped at the knees and not just for the fashion, but because she had fallen and ruined them. Around her waist she had tied a dark grey hoodie. She didn't look much different from us, but she was so afraid of me and I had no idea of why.

" Oh, I'm Jonathan Murphy." I said smiling back at her." It was wrong of you to touch me." She said looking at the floor instead of me.

" Why?" I asked not knowing why I couldn't give her at freaking hug.

" Men only touch women when they have sex with them or beats them." She said making my jaw drop to the floor.

" I thought this was a place where every soul was welcome!" I said turning around in anger. Why on earth would you hit them if you weren't in a fight with them or something.

" What's wrong with this place!?" I yelled making her jump in fear.

'' I'm sorry" I said not wanting to make her more afraid of me than she already was.

" Since you're not gonna hit me I can tell you everything. Normally women don't talk to men. If a woman or a girl for that matter talks to a man without the man asking for it, he has the right to hit her if he wishes. That's because the men led us here and we owe them our lives. Women has nothing to say, they're supposed to be great full for even being alive. That's how things work. That's also why we don't have policemen." She said giving me all the information I needed.

" This is a horrible place! Why are you even staying?" I asked being even more confused than before.
" We can't leave. The monster is keeping us here, it was so close to killing all of you. You are the only ones from the outside who has made it here in the past eighty years!" She said. I didn't understand any of this. They can't leave and the men are treating them like trash?

" What happened to your arm?!" She asked surprised as her eyes fell on my arm. My eyes found her worried blue eyes. I have never seen a colour like it. As she rushed her dark brown braid fell down her back instead of the shoulder where it was lying when we talked.

Ashley's p.o.v

"What happened to your arm?!" I asked surprised when my eyes fell on his arm. I quickly made it to him and looked at his arm.

" Take off your jacket" I said and ran to one of the cabinets to find some medicine. At the hospital where I often worked a lot of fishers came in with wounds like this. The teeth was laced with poison. I'm surprised he hasn't seen the hallucinations.

" What is happening to me?" He asked his voice slow. I quickly turned around to see him loosing his balance. I rushed to get him to sit down but he refused.

" You have to sit down!" I said finally pushing him onto the couch. I ran to the cabinet. Fuck! There was no medicine to cure just that.

" I'll be right back!" I said running out the door. I ran back " home " or at least where my mom lived.
" Mom?" I asked popping my head into the living room. Great! She wasn't home. I hurried to the bathroom found the medicine I needed and ran out once again. Two men were walking down the street and I slowed down. I walked normally with my back straightened and breast pushed forward.

" Lady, aren't you supposed to wear a dress? Answer me." One of the men said.

" No sir, I don't-" I was cut off by a fist slamming into my right cheek. I fell to the ground and spit out some blood. Gosh calm down.

" You are going to go home and put on a dress." He said walking past me as if I were trash. I ran my tongue along with both my lines of teeth. None were broken. I then ran back to where this Jonathan was. I hold the medicine tight in my hand and quickly opened the door. His head hang to the side and I ran to his side.

" Please still be alive." I said shaking his shoulders. He was still breathing but he was unconscious. Luckily for me the medicine was liquid. I poured some drops in his mouth and sat down next to the chair as silent as possible. My mom teached me never to wake up a human with this kind of bruise. It could take hours even days before he wakes up. He moved and I looked at him to check that he wasn't falling down.

" What happened?" He asked shocked making me jump several centimetres.

" You scared the crap out of me" I said calming down.

" How can you already be awake?" I asked standing up examining him and his wound.

" Take off you jacket" I said and he did as I told him. I went to the medicine cabinet once again and found son bandage and cleaning wipes.

" This might hurt a little." I said as I ran the cleansing wipe over his wound. He just looked at me not even flinching.

" What happened to you?" He asked me.

" Nothing" I said and kept on cleaning his wound. He took his other hand and putting on my sore cheek. I flinched as the contact hurt badly.

" Tell me" he said looking at me like I was a sore kitten.

" I'm fine. Now stay still." I said pulling out some bandage and wrapping it around his wound. I slightly tighten it and gave him his jacket back.

" Tell me!" He said with anger and seriousness.

" Why is it important? You just woke up from something that should have taken you at least ten hours to get over." I said putting the things back in the cabinet.

" I'm from space." He said making my eyes grow wide.

" You were with that thing that came from the sky a long time ago? That's why you healed. The solar radiation!" I said making my way to him. I started examining his eyes.

" What are you doing?" He asked pushing me away.

" You're eyes they may have something different considering that you are from space." I said smiling, but regretting when it started to hurt in my cheek.

" Look at your own eyes. I've never seen anything like it." He said looking at me with curiosity.

" Now what happened?" He asked making me crazy.

" Okay! A man hit me when I was on my way back to you." I said looking at the floor. My dad always told me never to talk about how I got my bruises. It was irrelevant. If a girl didn't have bruises her farther didn't raise her well. That's why I always had more bruises than others.

" What did you do?" He asked starring at me.

" I answered his question. Politely! And it clearly wasn't what he wanted to hear. And apparently I was wearing something wrong." I said walking over to him giving him at hug. He seamed surprised but he didn't hesitate to hug me back.

John's p.o.v

She suddenly hugged me. I was surprised but I didn't hesitate to hug her back. I felt bad for her. Soon I could hear soft sobs. We sat down on the couch and I made her sit on my lab. She cried out on my shoulder and I ran my hand up and down her back trying to support her. She wasn't as strong as she looked. She was a teenager being hit by random men on the street for wearing something wrong. She couldn't take it and I clearly understand it. She shouldn't be here. I'm going to get her out of here even if it means that I have to go back to Camp Jaha.
