Preliminary Stage

~Narumi's POV~

Now all of us lining in team. I look behind me and see Sasuke flinch and shaking. I know it's because of that curse mark.

"Ne Sakura-chan, can we switch for a while? I want to help Sasuke with his mark" i ask Sakura-chan who behind Sasuke

"Okay" she smile weakly. I know she thinking that she's useless because can't help Sasuke.

We switch and i use my medical ninjutsu on Sasuke's curse mark. Once we switch back, old man- i mean Hokage-sama start his speech.

"It's custom where balance is preserved by fighting and removing life. This is the Shinobi world. This is a fight for village and one's own dream on the line" he start.

'Heh, I'm convinced' i hear Ni-chan thought confidently.

I look around and my eyes locked on Gaara's face.

"Anything is fine, just tell us the content of that fight for life test" Gaara demanding

"Now then, this is where I'd like to explain the third stage. But actually-" Hokage-sama cough as Ni-chan look at him impatiently.

"Please allow me, Gekko Hayate who was given the tak of judge, to speak first" Hayate-sensei say on his knee and bowing his head to Hokage-sama.

Hokage-sama nod as Hayate-sensei stand up and turn to have us.

"There's something *cough* I'd like you all to do *cough* before the third stage of Chuunin Exam. And that is to the preliminary to the third stage, with participation in main battle on the line"

Everyone stunned.

"Preliminary?" Sakura-chan mumble

"What do you mean... preliminary?!" Shikamaru ask with quite hight tone

"Sensei, i don't understand the point of that preliminary. Why aren't we doing the next exam with the remaining test takers?" Sakura-chan ask while her head title to side.

"This time around, perhaps because the first and second stage were easy, there are a few to many people left, you see. I'm accordance with the rules of the Chuunin exams,a preliminary will be held in order to reduce the number advancing" Hayate-sensei reply calmly

"N-No way!" Sakura-chan stutter

"Then how many people should it be sensei?" I ask

"Ten i guess"

Then it how goes full of expand m explanation after that.

I look behind and see Sakura-chan and Sasuke arguing.

"Sasuke-kun you should quit, I'm worry you can't go through this!"

"I didn't ask you to worry about me! This has nothing to do with you! Mind your own business" he argue back

"Sasuke it's either you quit for your own sake or take the risk of dying! I can't help you everytime you're mark getting hurt. I need to save my chakra for battle. Think about it wisely" i warn him and try my best not to float my hair.

"Then don't heal me anymore. I didn't ask you to do it anyway" he reply with annoyed tone

My hair start to float slowly but i quickly calm myself down. Don't wanna create a scene.

"Then two names will be show at this board randomly"

We all look to the board. Two names appear.

'Uchiha Sasuke VS Akuda Yoroi'

I make deadpan face. I try to ignore the fact that Sasuke might die with taking to Kurama.

'Kurama i can use your chakra later right?' i ask
