Chapter 1

It's Saturday morning seven thirty AM, the beginning of autumn Kamilah is lying in bed not wanting to move. Not wanting to be bothered with the day, not wanting to be bothered not even for a second. Hearing her door open Kamilah pulls her eighteen hundred thread count cotton sheets over her head. Kamilah's mother Athena is a Cuban-American, she came to america after her parents died in an accidental car crash. Not wanting to be alone Athena thought she needed something new, a change of environment so at twenty years old she left all of Cuba behind not looking back. After coming to America it took a whole year for Athena to become a full-fledged citizen while working at a very high end luxury hotel. Owned by a very well known wealthy man, Malik Elias was a young man of twenty four already sitting at the head of an empire. With multiple business's Malik opened up a ring of hotels, those hotels are now know world wide. One day working in the hotel there was an incident with a customer, this man was yelling about how the service was. This man was clearly trying to tarnish Malik's name and reputation, as someone who looked up to him Athena even as a maid stepped in and scolded the man. Telling the man what he's doing is disturbing other guests, but as a someone who knows people she read him well. Sensing the man was just jealous of Malik, Athena told him it was better if he just finished checking out without anymore problems it would make everyone's day so much better. The man felt disrespected and raised his hand to Athena, but before he could strike her some one stopped him. It was the man himself Malik, he declared that any who raised there hand to his employees let alone a woman would have to answer to him. No one noticed that Malik and his friends where even coming down the lobby stairs, let alone Athena she was just staring into his eye's looking at how handsome he was. She had forgotten she was in danger and that her boss had just saved her, Malik liked this little lady she was sweet like all the other girls were. But Athena was different, she may have been small and sweet but she was not one for jerks pushing people around. 

Malik and Athena's love story was something, but that's a story for another time, back to the present Athena opens Kamilah's curtains letting in the light. "Come on Sweetheart it's time to get up, we have a fun day ahead of us" getting up Kamilah groans rubbing her eye's. Silently she sit's at the edge of her bed looking at her mom fix her curtains quietly, she asks her mom "mother is everyone going to celebrate with us?". "Yes honey, they are family" knowing this Kamilah sighs and moves her blanket from her face "I know I Just don't want to make a big deal about it". Walking over to Kamilah Athena places her hands on her cheeks "darling your gonna start high school a very prestigious one at that, and top of the class too!". Athena hugs Kamilah with a big motherly hug "we are all just so very proud of you, especially your father and I". With a sigh Kamilah lays back on her bed "but mom it's not a big deal, it's just school". With a big smile Athena taps Kamilah on her knees "come on I made breakfast down stairs" jumping up Kamilah runs to her bathroom. She loves her mothers cooking, when her father makes Athena work early or work late and lets her sleep in, Kamilah eats the hotel's food. "So now you get up" "I love your food, I would kill for it" with a chuckle Athena gets up leaving the room "well everyone is down stairs waiting, wash your face and come on". 

Leaving the penthouse her and her parents live in, Athena and everyone see Kamilah in her cotton, pink cheetah print pajamas coming down the stairs. "Good morning Princess, so where are we going today?" sitting down at the table Kamilah greets her father Malik and his four friends. These men she considers uncles, but also great friends whenever she cant tell her parents anything she goes to them. Which is most of the time, Kamilah loves her parents but because of how overprotective they are of her she doesn't tell them much. Whenever Kamilah gets a little paranoid sometimes about someone following her she would go to Ace. Ace Sasaki is one of japan's most feared business man and still number one Karate, Jujutsu, Judo and Kenjutsu Champion. An all round first place winner, many people fear him calling him the Aisuhato the cold heart because he could kill anyone, heartless. When it comes to Kamilah Ace is much more of a softy, being the best friend of Malik, Ace also has the honor of being Kamilah's godfather. In his heart he would do anything for her even take a life, it's so serious that he even now started the number one best security service saying it was a present for her thirteenth birthday. To everyone around her Kamilah is a quiet and aloof girl, very social inept not wanting to talk to anyone but when it came to her father's most annoying and younger friend Rex. Rex was a famous Australian-American action star, his movies are always a hit making millions, he always makes jokes about being more rich than Malik, which makes Kamilah laugh. No one can make her laugh like Rex that's why whenever he's around everyone is graced with her biggest smile, Malik just call's thier relationship youthful. Jon Luke is the Britiah Archaeologists of the group is Malik's friend from college, though Malik would call him a nerd Kamilah finds his job and research very fascinating. Jon  Luke is also Malik's college friend, Jon is one of the greatest minds in the world, like Rex he thinks he is the reason for Kamilah's ways, her amazing smarts in academics. Some would say he is when he read to her, unlike her parents reading children's books Jon would read books like The Art of War. Ever since then Kamilah has been reading books beyond her years, she would always and still does ask him for help with her school work somewhere deep down Kamilah  thinks Jon is the reason she's so smart. Last and the least because Malik doesn't trust many he has few friends, Ty is the friend that keeps him on his toes and keeps him updated on things in the world. Ty Rogers is the one of america's top secret agents, he's the one that taught Kamilah how to ride a bike saying it was something fathers taught their children. Ty may be one of americas top agents but he is also a big kid, being a year younger than Malik he thinks he has to mess with him. Teaching Kamilah to ride her bike almost got him killed, but thanks to Athena calming Malik down showing him how happy and proud she was Malik left it be telling Ty he can live for another day.
