The Hotel Owners Daughter

First Day

Today was the day, the day Kamilah started high school, a day she waited for and dreaded. Looking in the mirror adjusting her uniform Kamilah sighs "damnit, I look nice in this." All excited Athena bursts into Kamilah's room, startled Kamilah jumps turning around to see who nearly died to get into her room. "Mom, are you ok?" without a word Athena clamps her hands over her mouth and the tears started rolling from her eyes. Wide eyed Kamilah stands there looking at her mother "mama why are you crying?". Walking up to her Kamilah reaches up and whips her mother's tears "Oh baby I just dreamt of this, you're growing up just too fast". With a small smile Kamilah tilts her head looking at her mother "you do know I'm supposed to grow right?". "But you were just a baby like, last week" Sucking her teeth Athena shakes her head, and as Malik walks in she cries even more "I want another baby!". Stopping in his tracks Malik looks at Athena and then to Kamilah "I'm going to go eat" Kamilah pats her dad on the back chuckling leaving her room. Looking at Kamilah as she leaves her room, Malik waits until she is out of eye view then turns to Athena smirking with lust in his eyes. "So, my love wants another baby huh?" looking up at her husband Athena can see the look in his eyes, blushing she leans away from him. "I can still get that reaction out of you huh?" Malik leans in to kiss Athena, face beat red before their lips can connect, she runs out of the room leaving a very amused Malik. Athena makes her way to the kitchen where she's her daughter "well dear do have everything?" "Yes, triple checked everything". Smiling Athena walks up behind Kamilah and kisses her cheek, taking a seat next to her Athena places a hand on her cheek. "Are you ok mi dulce nina?(my sweet girl?)" putting her fork down, Kamilah looks down at her feet. "I don't know, I'm a little worried that things won't go well" "meaning?" Kamilah sighs turns and looks up at her mother. "Mother, you and father kept me a secret from the world for a reason, I just think something is going to happen, something bad". Walking into the kitchen Malik bends down between his wife and daughter. "What is my top priority?" With a sweet enduring smile Athena takes his hand and looks at Kamilah to answer the question. Looking from her mother to her father with a straight face Kamilah answer "your top priority is to keep me and mother safe". Malik smiles, he knows that she knows he will always protect her, he just wanted to calm her nerves "yes my love, so don't worry you will be fine". With a small smile Kamilah nods, gets up to grab her bag and shoes she hugs her parents, Athena looks at Malik with a worried expression. He holds her hands "she well be ok, do you remember who you're married to?" looking down at their hands. A single tear falls from Athena's face, Malik whips it away "she is going to be fine love" "you promise?". Cupping her face Malik whips her tears "I promise with all my being I will protect our baby". Athena takes a deep breath and pecks Malik on the lips, nodding she squeezes his hands as he gets up. 

Down in the penthouse lounge Ace, Jon Luke, Ty and Rex are sitting down waiting for the young lady of the hour. Sitting up Rex clears his throat "ok am I the only one worried about her leaving the hotel for hours with non of us around?". Taking a sip from his morning tea Ace speaks up "no one is more worried than Athena" agreeing with him Jon Luke brings in some coffee for him and Ty. "Honestly chaps, she may put on a strong face for everyone but Iv'e been watching her for all these years, and I think after giving birth she has become more paranoid". Coming down the stairs is Malik hearing his friends talk about his wife "to be honest you all she was a little paranoid when she was just an employee". "Oh yeah the situation with her ex and her family" Ty joins in "yes, so what we discussed keep it from her I only want her to worry about Kamilah". Looking at each other the men nod at their friend, hearing the doors close from Maliks wing. The men all share the same expression kind of like a secret conversation between the five. To keep Kamilah safe and Athena at ease they will keep this little secret between them. Kamilah runs down the stairs greeting everyone "you all aren't taking me to school, are you?". Chuckling Malik kisses her forehead "no sweetheart, I have arranged a driver for you" confused Kamilah looks at her father. What do you mean by a driver" Kamilah all though she is relived she thought she was taking one of the school's buses. Ace stands up and walks over to Kamilah " I have one of my men driving you, you remember him, Solas". Kamilah perks up at the name, Solas was five years older than Kamilah he was a quiet person. Kamilah was good at reading people, but he was hard to read maybe it was because of his past. Malik nor Ace knew that she knew but Kamilah overheard the conversation they had about Solas. He was the child of a one of Ace's old neighbors back in Japan, he was eight years old when his parents died. His grandma was having a hard time raising him making sure he stayed out of trouble, but trouble found him. Solas joined a local gang, dropped out of school, came home with scratches all in all gave his grandmother a heart attack. Because of his actions it caused his grandmother to go ill, her heart couldn't take it anymore. The worry she felt actually killed her, hearing all this after hearing of his neighbor's death Ace promised to care for him. On her death bed she pleaded with Ace to take him away from Japan, she didn't want to see her grandson in the afterlife any time soon. And that's exactly what Ace did, he brung Solas to Europe even though it took a while he got his education.
